The 6’1″, 180-pounder from Eustis is suiting up for Team Florida on the Adidas Gold circuit. He has an offer from UNF with interest from College of Charleston, Jacksonville and Wofford as well.
“Being with Team Florida is great,” Douglas told Prep Hoops. “The coaching staff, Mr. Mobley and my teammates are just amazing. Being with Team Florida has helped me by putting me in a position to be a good solid point guard and leader.”
Douglas was instrumental in his team’s Class 6A region final appearance this season. The Panthers finished 21-9, losing to eventual state champion Stranahan to end their year. He averaged a team-best 17.6 PPG along with 6.7 RPG, 3.7 APG and 2.5 SPG with 11 total games with 20 or more points.
“My junior season at Eustis was pretty good,” he said. “Where I saw my game grow the most was becoming a better leader and being a better team defender.”
Douglas pointed to his mentality, willingness to guard any player on the court and his winning mindset as his best attributes. He says he wants to improve his decision making overall.
This is an important summer and for the rising senior, Douglas is putting in the work with Team Florida. He should flourish once again for Eustis and command some more offers from Division I programs. Douglas is a smart and strong player who doesn’t shy away from the competition.
