This new list of talent will feature two prospects who decided to reclassify to the 2020 class and join a prep school, in hopes of putting themselves on the map.
I will soon be making my way to the 2021 class as it is stacked with talent from top to bottom, but let’s take a look at my new list of talent still available in next year’s class.
Cameron Matthews, Team Thad 17U: The 6-foot-6 wing’s recruitment is still the same at the moment. Matthews holds offers from Ole Miss, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi State and Memphis.
Chris McKnight, Hoop City 17U: The 6-5 wing has interests from Morehead State, Appalachian State, Oral Roberts and Central Arkansas. On the Adidas circuit, McKnight has been averaging 13.8 points, 3.2 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game. He’s shooting 47% from 3.
Deovaunta Williams, Hoop City 17U: The 6-1 point guard reclassified to the 2020 class and will attend Tennessee Prep Academy in the fall. Williams has interests from Claflin University, Walters State Community College, Tennessee State, East Tennessee State, Campbell, UT-Martin and Kilgore.
Koby Jeffries, Hoop City 17U: The former FACS point guard also reclassified to the 2020 class after not getting hardly any attention from college coaches. The 6-3 guard will attend The Skill Factory in Atlanta, Georgia. Jeffries holds interests from San Diego State, Fresno State and Kennesaw State.
Marcellus Brigham Jr., Hoop City 17U: Brigham Jr. has interests from Appalachian State, Loyola University Chicago, Charleston, Old Dominion, Valparaiso, ETSU, Union and Arkansas at Little Rock.
Derek Fountain, Team Thad 16U: The 6-6 wing has offers from Tulane, Oklahoma, Oral Roberts, Cal State Bakersfield and Troy. Memphis, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Missouri State, Mississippi State, Fresno State and New Mexico State are showing interest. Fountain is planning on visiting Oral Roberts and Cal State Bakersfield this summer.
Michael Malone Jr., Bluff City Legends GOLD 17U: Malone Jr. has offers from TSU, UT-Martin, Texas Southern, Mississippi Valley State and North Carolina A&T. Henderson State came to watch Malone Jr. at last weekend’s Memphis in May Invitational Tournament.
Matthew Murrell, Team Thad 17U: The 6-4 combo guard has had a great summer on the Under Armour circuit. As of right now, Murrell has offers from Memphis, North Carolina State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Alabama, Appalachian State, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Iowa State, Saint Louis and Texas A&M. He was planning to take an official visit to Gainesville, Florida but Murrell had to hold those plans because he will be participating in the Under Armour All-American, Pangos All-American and NBPA Top 100 camps.
