Christian Cook 2020 Team Buddy Buckets 17U/Midwest City guard (pictured above)
Christian Cook had a tremendous scoring night with 27 points against Kansas Pray N’Play in an 83-62 win. The junior was cooking from everywhere on the floor, knocking down long shots, taking the ball to the rack and even finishing a corner 3-pointer off the backboard. Cook is a phenomenal athlete who can easily create his own shot out of the dribble. His quickness makes extends from his footwork to his release and makes him an enigma to defend.
Conner Calavan 2020 Tulsa Hawks 17U/Fort Gibson point guard
Despite taking a 2-point loss to KC Pacers 2020, Fort Gibson star guard Sooner Calavan had 24 points, including six 3-pointers. A talented soon-to-be-senior, Calavan is one of the most talented shooters in the Oklahoma 2020 class, and he showcased his skills for all to see in Wichita. Calavan’s quick release and ability to finish contested shots came in handy for his team.
Ethan Scott 2022 Buddy Buckets 16U/Westmoore guard x Sean Pedulla 2021 Buddy Buckets 16U point guard
The dynamic duo of Ethan Scott and Sean Pedulla dropped 42 points (Scott – 23; Pedulla – 19) in an 89-47 win against Colorado Chaos 16U Elite. Scott hit seven 3-pointers, while Pedulla added another four. Pedulla was dominant as a slasher as well, and the Chaos defense had no answer for his driving abilities. Scott, on the other hand, was all-but-unstoppable from the 3-point line, as defenders could do little to get him out of rhythm.
Nate Goodlow 2020 Team Griffin 17U/ Del City point guard
Del City junior Nate Goodlow dropped 18 points against Colorado Chaos 17U. Goodlow’s ability to get to the rim on the offensive end of the floor was his greatest tool, but it was closely rivaled by his ball-hawking abilities on the defensive end. He’s a crafty, efficient finisher at the rim and is hard to stop out of the dribble thanks to his quickness and ball-handling talents.
