Maurice Pinnock 2021 D1 Prospects (TX) guard
- Ball-handler
- Finisher
- Crafty finisher
Maurice Pinnock, a 5-foot-10-inch off-ball guard prospect from Clear Creek, Texas, showcased an array of talents on the perimeter over the weekend. Pinnock was really good eat taking the ball on the wing and driving middle to convert the bucket. Pinnock has great ball-handling skills and is a talented finisher at the rim.
Justice McNelkan 2022 Texas Elite DJH5 (TX) wing
- Explosive
- High iQ
- Tough finisher
The physical, athletic talents of Justice McNelkan showed up in one matchup against FYN All-Stars. McNelkan, a 6-foot-even true 3-guard, is an explosive athlete who can get his own shot at the rim, thanks to his tough finishing skills, and hit the spot-up shot from long range. McNelkan makes great cuts when the ball is away from him and exposes defenses at their weakest points.
Jaden Flournoy 2021 PB Nation (TX) wing
- Spot-up shooter
- Transition player
The talents of 6-foot-4-inch Jaden Flournoy were indicative of the fast style of play that PB Nation undertook for the weekend. Flournoy’s metrics stack up with his height, but extend into all aspects of his game. His speed allowed him to separate himself from defenders and benefit his team on the fast-break. Flournoy can shoot the ball well from the corners and can hit three or more 3-pointers in a match.
Harris Yaksick 2021 XPress Hoops (TX) wing
- Rebounder
- Tough finisher
Harris Yaksick’s tangibles check out. He’s tall, lanky, explosive, fast and has a high motor. The 6-foot-4 wing excelled in transition, thanks to these traits, as he finished resiliently at the rim, handled the ball well, and absorbed contact with ease. Subsequently, Yaksick rebounded the ball well to start many of those possessions.
Dalante Shannon 2021 Buddy Buckets (OK) guard
- Spot-up shooter
- Pure scorer
Dalante Shannon possesses the on-ball skills to bring the ball up the floor, but is equally as exceptional as a spot-up shooter or driving in from the wing. Shannon is a great perimeter player out of the half-court, but his best moments of the weekend came on the fast-break, where he routinely outside opposing defenders and burst above the rim for the basket.
