Devin Highsmith – 5’11 – No Guts No Glory Triumph – 2019
Unsigned senior Devin Highsmith led the 17U division with 12 made 3-pointers on the weekend. Exploded for eight made 3-pointers and 24 points against Hill City Crash Unsigned Seniors in a 76-45 victory. He really set himself apart from the rest of the pack and colleges should get a look at him if they’re in need of backcourt help.
Cortez Whitaker – 6’3 – Triple Threat – 2019
Cortez Whitaker was another unsigned senior who showed off his abilities this past weekend. He averaged 22.3 points per game and finished with 67 total points, good for fifth in the division for his Triple Threat squad. He’s got a knack for the 3-point line as well as the free throw line and finished tied for second in the division in free throws made with 15.
Randy Freeman Jr. – 6’5 – No Guts No Glory Triumph – 2021
Wing Randy Freeman Jr. opened the weekend showing off his abilities all over the floor. He opened the weekend with 21 points on three made 3-pointers and averaged 12.0 points per contest as his team went 3-1 on the weekend. He’s an emerging prospect that coaches will want to keep an eye on. He can score on all three levels and plays above the rim.
Austin Manley – 6’4 – No Guts No Glory Triumph – 2020
Austin Manley is another emerging wing prospect for No Guts No Glory Triumph. He’s a sharpshooter that you don’t want to leave open, though he can also get to the rim and finish through contact. He tied with teammate Devin Highsmith for most 3-pointers made with 12 as well. Manley put up 21 points with two made 3-pointers in his best performance of the weekend. With his potential, he’s another prospect coaches will want to look out for.
Nyzae Lynch – 6’2 – No Guts No Glory Courage – 2020
Nyzae Lynch is a big guard at 6-foot-2 that uses his size and strength well at the lead guard position. He was one of the standouts though his team was unable to get a victory, he had a strong showing as their leader on offense. In their final game of the weekend, he put up 23 points on five made 3-pointers and averaged 16.7 points per game.
Jay Hickman – 6’2 – Big Shots Elite North Carolina – 2020
Jay Hickman is one of those emerging prospects that showed off his ability to score anywhere on the floor this past weekend. He scored 17 points to open the weekend against the Young Knights and against Team Loaded VA, he finished with a game-high 22 points to go along with four made 3-pointers. He’s one 2020 player whose stock should rise as the summer goes along.
Nick Farrar – 6’7 – Big Shots Elite North Carolina – 2020
Nick Farrar is a prospect whose stock is rising by the tournament. He tied for the lead in the division for most points with 25.0 points per game and went for 30 points in a 78-56 victory over Ballers U. He’s emerging as a three-level scoring forward that can play both inside and out. As he continues to develop his game, look for his stock to rise.
Jeremiah Baker – 5’10 – Big Shots Elite North Carolina – 2020
Jeremiah Baker is an emerging lead guard that distributes with efficiency and can finish with authority above the rim. He isn’t a prospect that will fill it up, given the talent around him but he does a solid job of commanding the offense and with his quickness, he’s a terror on the defensive end.
Nolan Dorsey – 6’5 – Big Shots Elite North Carolina – 2020
Noah Dorsey is a versatile forward that can play inside. He’s got good hands on the interior and has nice length and athleticism that allows him to finish above the rim. He opened the weekend with 16 points and finished with 10.0 points per contest by the end of things. He’s an emerging versatile prospect to look out for.
