NC Breakers & Washington County Junior Wing De’Andre Downing: Legit size for a wing at about 6’5 with a nice wingspan, he plays the game under control and sticks to what he does best. Although we saw him knock down some shots, he was the most productive when he was slashing to the paint as well as rebounding.
NC Hustle Sophomore Guard Mike King: Likes to plays the game fast and use his quickness to push the ball out and get into quick transition. Understands how to score the ball in multiple ways and can be a productive player as long as he keeps the game simple.
UBE Junior Avery Huggins: He has the combination of good size and soft touch that you like to see from your bigger players. The time he spent making plays out of the high post was efficient as he made the correct decisions to put his team in the best positions to score.
UBE Junior TiQuez Taylor: We always like when we see a player that plays the game on their toes instead of flat footed and that’s exactly how he plays. He has a pretty strong frame and plays the game with a football player type of mindset, he doesn’t take plays off and doesn’t mind contact.
Norfolk Legacy Freshman Zion Holmes: One of the smaller players that we saw during the event by far but he came in off the bench and made nice plays for his team. He shot the ball very well from deep off the dribble and off the catch, don’t be surprised if you see his name some more this season.
Royal Knights 2020 Guard Nick Greene: He’s what we would call a downhill type of guard, it always seems like he has momentum and speed on his side when he’s pushing the ball on against the defense. He has some good upper body strength and made some plays through contact throughout that we liked, solid performance.
NC Breakers & John A Holmes Junior Guard Mitjonta Stanley: Had a solid showing throughout the day, has good upper body strength and plays the game with a solid IQ. Doesn’t allow himself to be sped up in any type of way and has good range on his shot, he also brought nice intensity on the defensive end.
Wilson Elite & Greenfield School Senior Guard Bryson Baker: He’s played alongside top players and was part of a team that took home a state championship this past season. For a smaller school looking for a glue guy that could knock down shots, he may be a player that you will want to possibly bring in for a workout.
NC Breakers & John A Holmes Junior Guard Ervin White: Was a spark plug player for the team, they had some moments where they needed some energy and he provided that. He’s small in stature but showed that he could score the ball when called upon, without a doubt he is a player that you want to have on your squad.
Royal Knights Junior Tyler Burnham: Came in and knocked down some shots from three point land early on to get the going. He seems to be the most effective when he’s shooting off the catch but what we liked most is that he seems to understand and embrace his role of being a shooter on the squad.
