The class of 2020 point guard has always been a star here in Michigan, but he really took his game to another level this past prep season. Green proved that he is a high major talent and can play with anyone in the country at his position.
Wendell Green Jr. has officially made his return to Michigan for grassroots season He is starring once again for the same grassroots squad, the Michigan Playmakers. Green and the Playmakers took the trip to Grand Rapids, MI for the Storm Classic. He certainly did not disappoint. Green may have had the most impressive performance at the event. He led the Playmakers to a 6-1 overall record. They were 3-0 in Pool Play and reeled off 3 more wins to reach the Super Platinum championship game. Nova Village – Alleyne edged the Michigan Playmakers by 8 in the title game.
Green absolutely put on a show. He averaged 19.6ppg, 7.5rpg, 6apg, and 2 spg. He showed elite ball handling skills that helped him shake his defenders and finish at the rim with exceptional body control. Green showed that he has no limits on his range and that he can create offense for himself and his teammates. He’s simply a must see basketball player during his time in Michigan this grassroots season.
