In Florida, the talent is deep and with that, here is a look at some seniors that should be making their decisions shortly.
Marsei Caston (Potter’s House Christian)
The 6’3″ Potter’s House guard is electric with the ball in his hands and he has the ability to take over a game in the blink of an eye. Caston has 10 plus Division I offers which include Arizona State, SMU, VCU and Arkansas State. Whoever gets Caston will be adding a winner and a kid who is just hitting the peak of his true skillset.
Isaiah Palermo (Osceola)
Helping the Kowboys to two state titles in the last three year, the 6’6″ forward plays with so much focus. Palermo has offers from various Division I programs including FGCU, FAU, Bethune Cookman, Northern Arizona and Ole Miss. Osceola has had endless team chemistry and tough players and Palermo will bring smarts and toughness to any college team.
Johnnie Williams (Booker)
The 6’4″ Booker guard is nearing a decision. With offers from Southeastern Louisiana, FGCU and Arkansas State, Williams will have to pick a school that truly wants to develop his skills. He’s a blazer, a dunker and an athlete who is maturing as a shooter and leader. Williams will help any program with his workmanlike ability.
Diego Rivera (Miami Christian)
A 6’1″ guard, Rivera had a monster senior campaign for a fast and gritty Miami Christian squad. He has numerous Division II offers but is likely going to land in Division I due to his upside. Rivera is a dangerous outside shooter and that was evident by his 76 point outing against Brito where he connected on 14 3-pointers.
Ahmad Johnson (Charlotte)
Talk about a quiet and natural leader at Charlotte. That is Johnson to a tee. The 6’4″ guard is as steady as they come as an attacker and his mid-range touch is solid. Division II or NAIA is where he will find an opportunity right now. Don’t rule out a postgrad year for Johnson as he continues to increase his value for a possible Division I school.
