I took in the day with a good amount of games between the three courts as age groups 14U-17U were participating.
Here is a look at the third part of the top performer’s list.
ICYMI:
Rivers Lenholt (St. Petersburg Canterbury/Team Speights)
2020 guard Rivers Lenholt was playing with a mixed Team Speights group on Saturday and he proved to be worthy of a spot with the top team. The 6’2″ guard is a gifted outside shooter, but he was doing more driving and kicking to his teammates. Lenholt had 15 points in an evening win over GameSpeed Elite Blue. He is a smart kid in the classroom and on the court and is a perfect player for a Division II or Division III school.
Carr Thiam & Isaiah Ramsey (Team Speights)
Along with Lenholt, 2020 6’3″ Wharton guard Carr Thiam and 2020 6’4″ Wesley Chapel guard Isaiah Ramsey were rock solid in both games on the day. Thiam is a quick twitch shooter who can get to the basket with his steady foot speed. Ramsey is stronger than ever and is able to mix it up inside because of it. Both are Division I/Division II talents.
Justin Preaster (Central Florida Christian/Team MOAM)
2023 guard Justin Preaster is a man amongst boys at the 14U level. Coming from a trio of brothers in the Preaster family, Jordan (2019 guard who is headed to Bethune Cookman in the fall) and Jajuan, a 2020 guard at Central Florida Christian. Justin Preaster will join his middle brother at Central Florida Christian and looks to be primed for a big role as a freshman with his mix of size, pure athleticism and a steady jumper.
Joel Harrison (Superior Collegiate/Team Speights)
Playing up with the 15U Team Speights group, Joel Harrison is one tough and athletic guard. The 5’11” Superior Collegiate athlete was controlling the tempo, leading his offense and slashing often while scoring on the attack. Harrison is dripping with breakout potential this summer and if coached properly, he will transform into a young star in the Tampa Bay area soon.
Brendan Grady (Q6 All Stars Elite)
Speedy and in charge, 2021 guard Brendan Grady was a true leader for the Q6 All Stars Elite, especially when it mattered most in the night win over Team Speights. The 5’10” guard is vocal, plays the game the right way and can really get it done as an attacker despite his small frame. He has endless burst.
