Sophomore All State First Team
Chet Holmgren of Minnehaha Academy. A key figure in the Redhawks winning a third straight state title with his 18.3 points, 9.5 boards, and six blocks a game.
Kendall Brown of East Ridge. Led East Ridge in scoring 17 plus points per game plus also led the state team in steals and was second in assists.
Andrew Morgan of Waseca. Scored 16 points a game with nine rebounds and a team high in blocks for the Class AAA runner-up.
Treyton Thompson of Alexandria. Alexandria won 19 games this year with Thompson leading the way as a 17 point, nine rebound, and three block per game guy
Kody Williams of Wayzata. Scored 11 a game for one of the top teams in Class AAAA plus was a top defender and handled the ball for the Trojans.
Sophomore All State Second Team
Will Tschetter of Stewartville. Will made nearly 40 percent of his threes on his way to a 22 point, 7.5 rebound per game average.
Reid Patterson of Lakeville South. Reid scored 16.1 points per game for a .500 basketball team in the South Suburban Conference.
Ryan Dufault of Waseca. Waseca’ second leading scorer and second leading shot creator for a team that finished second in state.
Paris Johnson of St. Louis Park. Johnson had a fantastic season leading StLP to 19 wins averaging 15.6 points and 9.6 rebounds a game.
Kyreese Willingham of Waseca. Gave his team 14 points, six rebounds, and constant energy through the state title game.
Sophomore All State Third Team
Davon Townley Jr of Minneapolis North. Townley scored 11.6 points a contest with 7.5 boards a night for the Class AA runner-up.
Riley Mahlman of Lakeville South. Riley nearly put together a double-double average with his 12.2 points and 8-9 boards a night.
Dorian Singer of Tartan. Singer looks like the next excellent prospect at Tartan. He gave the Titans 11 plus points per game as a sophomore.
Pal Kueth of Mankato East. The Cougars received 13-14 points a night from Pal as a top five team in Class AAA.
Zach Longueville of St. Croix Lutheran. The Crusaders have a strong group of sophomores and Zach is their rep on this team after a 18.4 point, 4.2 board, 3.2 assist per game year.
Sophomore All State Fourth Team
Brady Walthall of Moorhead. Scored ten points a contest for a 21 win team at the Class AAAA level.
Parker Maki of Hibbing. Hibbing pushed their way into the top ten in Class AAA scoring 15 points a game.
Rowan Nelson of Melrose. The second leading scorer and leading rebounder for 28-win state participant Melrose.
Joshua Streit of Eden Valley-Watkins. Josh had team highs of 18.5 points and 9 rebounds a game this winter.
Finn Diggins of Perham. Finn was one of three double figure averaging scorers for a balanced Perham team that made the final four, second leading rebounder.
Sophomore All State Fifth Team
Erick Burgess of Cristo Rey. Burgess put together a 16 point, six rebound, five assist average for a 19 game winner.
Sam Votva of East Grand Forks. Leading scorer and playmaker for others on a 22 game winner.
Devin Burger of Totino-Grace. Scored 13 points a game for the Eagles this year competing in the NWSC.
Francis Nwaokorie of Champlin Park. The fourth lead scorer for the 23-win Rebels had a nice year playing above expectations for a young talent.
Drew Maloney of St. Charles. The Saints won 19 games with a balanced line-up, Drew was the second leading scorer at 16 a game
Addison Metcalf of St Croix Prep. Metcalf was a top rebounder and the second leading scorer at 16 a game. St Croix Prep was a 22 game winner at one point ranked.
