The 2020 class in Louisiana is going to be one of the deepest in recent years in reference to talent. At the point guard position, many of the best point guards in the state are in this class. 2021 and 2022 also have their fair share of point guards as well. I will run down my list of ten point guards everyone should know around the state.

Jalen Cook / 6'0" / Walker / 2020

There is no better guard to start with than the Gatorade Player of the year.  Cook had a season that most point guards dream of.  He followed up being the primary facilitator on a championship winning team by becoming the primary scorer and distributor on a team who lost in the 5A championships.  Jalen is a bullish guard who scores at all three levels.  His ability to shoot the floater has increase his scoring and made him almost impossible to stop.  A year like he had in 2018-2019 will be hard to duplicate.  If he is anywhere near this past season's numbers, Cook might graduate being one of Louisiana's most decorated high school players.

Reece Beekman / 6'3" / Scotlandville / 2020
