The Florida Vipers 16U squad will open up play on the Under Armour Association circuit this weekend at HyVee Arena in Kansas City, Mo. 

Head coach Brandon McThay and assistant John Bianchi scrimmaged the Vipers vs. South Florida Elite. The Vipers would prevail by a 91-53 count. Here is a look at the Vipers' 16U starting 5 headed into Kansas City.

Mike Trigg (2021)

The 6-3 Trigg, out of Seffner Christian, has the potential to be a big-time scorer. Big body. He put up close to 40 points in the scrimmage Saturday. "Mike Trigg’s an elite guard," McThay said. "Can do everything."

Atraiel Washington (2021)

Washington is a 6-7 power forward. Helped Camden County (Ga.) go 18-9 as a sophomore. Does most of his scoring in the post. Is tough to stop when he gets position down low. "Trel does a great job," McThay said.

Ben Middlebrooks (2022)

Middlebrooks' game seems to improve every time I see him. The Fort Lauderdale Westminster Academy freshman had 17 rebounds and 8 blocks in the FHSAA Class 4A state semifinals and came back with 18 points on 8-of-8 shooting from the field in the state championship game in
