The guard from North Minneapolis was everywhere on Saturday, excelling for both the 15U and 16U Phenom/Prodigy Elite units. He’s got a great feel for the game, and has a knack for getting to the rim. His jumper was off today, but he shot it with confidence still. Larkins was one of the best playmakers we saw today.
Tyson Dallas, 5’11 G (Phenom/Prodigy Elite 16U)
Another Minneapolis area guard who impressed, Dallas — a Robinsdale Cooper product — scored a team-high 16 points in a blowout win over Iowa Prep Black 16U. All of his points came at the rim, where he proved to be a creative finisher.
Jordan Boltz, 6’3 G/F (Crossfire 16U)
One of the better shooters we saw today, Boltz was on fire during a big win over Iowa Prep Black 16U. He’s got a pretty stroke from deep, and canned four big triples — two in each half — against the Iowa squad. The Maple Grove product scored a game-high 21 points in the win.
Connor Drew, 6’6 PF (All Iowa Attack 16U Red)
Fresh from a stellar sophomore season at Ballard, when he led the Bombers to a 3A state tourney bid, Drew showed no signs of slowing down this spring with All Iowa Attack. He was a bruiser in the paint, doing well to exploit mismatches, and he even stepped out and hit a pretty 3-ball during a win over BBA Force.
Ra’Mir Scott, 5’8 PG (All Iowa Attack 16U Red)
This was our first viewing of the compact, athletic point guard and he certainly did not disappoint. He’s got pogo sticks for legs and has a tight handle plus a J to boot. He canned two 3-balls in the second half, and they came back-to-back when his team needed them.
Blake Chance, 6’4 G/F (All Iowa Attack 16U Red)
A tall and versatile Albia product, Chance had a monster sophomore season with the Blue Demons and has carried that momentum into his spring. He was instrumental while helping Attack get an impressive win over BBA Force, doing a little bit of everything well to help secure the win.
Marcus Morgan, 6’3 G (All Iowa Attack 16U Red)
Morgan comes to All Iowa Attack from the Iowa Barnstormers and adds a ton of firepower to what had been an already stellar unit. He’s a dominant two-way player when he asserts himself and today he was showcasing his prowess again on both sides of the ball. He’s skilled, strong and athletic, just a cut above the rest.
