2020s
Cam Thomas – 6’3 – Boo Williams
Cam Thomas was one of the many standout guards for Boo Williams in the backcourt. He’s an emerging guard that can get open and shoot the basketball at an efficient rate. He’s currently got offers from Miami, Oregon, and Oklahoma among others and is one guard with room to grow in his class.
Amir Nesbitt – 6’2 – Boo Williams
Point guard Amir Nesbitt has plenty of weapons to work with on the floor and as one of their two floor generals, he’s been tasked as their defensive forcer and playmaker. He didn’t disappoint three assists and two steals against WeR1. As he learns his way in the rotation, look for him to gain some attention as well.
Jhamir Brickus – 5’11 – WeR1
Jhamir Brickus was a terror with the ball in his hands against Boo Williams. He scored a team-high 18 points while scoring in a variety of ways, despite the loss. Brickus shot 4-of-7 from behind the arc and also dished out four assists. He’s drawn offers from Richmond and Drexel already, look for him to pull more with the live period around the corner.
Jackson Benigni – 6’0 – WeR1
Jackson Benigni is the sharpshooter this season for WeR1 Basketball. Benigni was responsible for keeping his squad in the game when they needed big baskets, going a perfect 4-of-4 from behind the arc with 12 points in 10 minutes. He’s another name to watch on this WeR1 club.
Jordan Toles – 6’2 – Team Thrill
2020 guard Jordan Toles is an athletic freak on the football field and the hardwood. He’s one guy to keep an eye on as a two-way star. The guard can dunk everything when he gets in the paint but also has a nice touch on his jump shot. He’s got offers from Maryland and LSU already.
2021s
Zion Harmon – 5’10 – Boo Williams
2021 point guard Zion Harmon didn’t play much during the high school season but he didn’t seem to miss a beat with Boo Williams 17U squad. He showed off his ability to fill it up in a hurry during a key run as his team came back to win in the end. He’s got unlimited range and handles to boot. Look for his stock to grow this summer.
Bez Mbeng – 6’3 – DC Premier
Bez Mbeng is learning to play the point guard position and with his size and ability to get anywhere on the floor, he’s set to have a big summer. Mbeng can finish above the rim and is developing as a shooter.
Allen Strothers – 6’1 – Boo Williams
Allen Strothers is a sneaky athletic guard that’s expected to have a big summer. The rising junior was an All-State player at Menchville this past year, averaging 13.0 points, 7.0 assists and 7.0 rebounds per contest. He’s got stock riser written all over him.
Kino Lilly Jr. – 6’1 – DC Premier
Kino Lilly Jr. took 11 shots from the field in DC Premier’s win over Boo Williams, all from 3-point range and made four of them. He’s a confident shooter that can really get hot in a hurry. He made some big shots down the stretch for DC Premier and is one name to watch on the Under Armour Circuit.
Ryan Cornish – 6’2 – District Basketball Club
6-foot-2 guard Ryan Cornish is starting to fill out as a combo guard. He can shoot the 3 as well as make plays for his teammates, making him a lethal weapon in the backcourt for District Basketball Club. He’s currently ranked as a top-35 prospect in the Maryland and D.C. 2021 rankings.
Ryan Prather Jr. – 6’3 – District Basketball Club
Ryan Prather Jr. is another crafty guard on the District Basketball Club roster. He’s got the ability to get to the rim off the dribble and a nice mid-range jump shot that should take him places. He’s also got sneaky bounce, something that he puts to good use on both ends.
