DOMINIC DAVIS | 6’8 C | PURE GAME ELITE 17U/COOLIDGE ’20
Davis asserted himself throughout his team’s contest. He’s got a sturdily built frame at 6-foot-8 and knows how to throw his weight around. Davis did a good job boxing out, rebounding, and defending in the post. He showcased intriguing ability offensively as a face up slasher, but also did emphatically and consistently established post position in the low post. Davis should work on his handle, finishing in traffic, and staying under control.
SASHA GLUSHKOV | 6’11 C | TEAM LOADED 434 17U/BLUE RIDGE ’20
At 6-foot-11, Sasha Glushkov is a good pick and pop big with nice touch. He’s got good hands and crashes the boards relentlessly. Glushkov does need to improve his strength and footwork. He did however show that he can move his feet laterally and defend in the post.
JALEN MILLER | 6’2 G | TEAM DURANT EYBL 16U/BISHOP WALSH ’21
Jalen Miller imposed his will on both ends of the court with his activity on the defensive side of the ball and his paint getting ability. He is very crafty around the basket and has good feel. Miller won every 50/50 ball in his area, pushed the ball ahead in transition, and consistently beat his man in 1v1 situations. One thing Miller needs to work on is his explosiveness. He is a sneaky good athlete but his burst needs to be quicker.
TRENTON PICOTT | 6’6 F | TEAM PRO LOOK 16U/SOUTH COUNTY ’21
Trenton Picott is developing into a dominant force, especially on the defensive side of the ball. He is a relentless shot blocker with long arms and impeccable timing, but can also move his feet and stick with smaller opponents on the perimeter. Picott is developing confidence in his perimeter jump shot which we saw when he knocked down a spot up three. Two things he can work on are his hands and stamina.
THOMAS WHITLEY | 6’5 F/C | DISTRICT BASKETBALL CLUB 16U/ELEANOR ROOSEVELT ’21
As the anchor of DBC’s defense, Thomas Whitley was exceptional. He rebounded, defended well on the perimeter and in the post by utilizing his length and lateral quickness. Whitley ran the floor with purpose and was adept at scoring in transition. He demonstrated the strength to finish through contact and showcased some slick moves in the lane.
