Antonio Reeves (Simeon)
Ranking: #9
The state’s top prospect available took his second official visit to a Missouri Valley school this weekend. He tripped to Southern Illinois to see the Salukis and their new coaching staff.
Myles Baker (Whitney Young)
Ranking: #14
Baker was one of the top uncommitted prospects remaining on the board. The Whitney Young two guard cut his list to four last week and on Monday committed to Central Connecticut State.
Evan Taylor (Glenbard West)
Ranking: #15
This 6’6” point-forward didn’t last long uncommitted. After reopening his recruitment from Southern Illinois he took an official visit to Lehigh and shortly after committed.
Mitch Mascari (Geneva)
Ranking: #25
Mascari is a skilled small forward that can really score it. He had a ton of D2 offers, but ultimately decided to choose Northwest Missouri State on Wednesday.
Sherif Kenney (Orr)
Ranking: #26
We caught up with Kenney at the UAA last weekend where he was watching his old DC Premier squad. He told us Missouri, La Salle, and Wyoming are three schools he is hearing from.
Jermaine Hamlin (Lincoln)
Ranking: #30
The top center still on the board made it official by telling PHI that he will be attending Link Year Prep next season and reclassifying to 2020. This shot blocking presence is playing with Brad Beal Elite on the EYBL circuit.
Martin Macenis (Stagg)
Ranking: #34
Macenis is a smooth scorer with a feathery jump shot. Things had been quiet on his recruitment over the last month, but the Stagg wing informed PHI on Sunday morning that he had committed to D2 Missouri Southern State University.
Kendrick Tchoua (Benet)
Ranking: #43
Tchoua came into to Benet as a transfer from Baltimore to play his senior year. He is a physical mauler on the interior and high level rebounder. Great get for University of Indianapolis at the D2 level!
Demetrius Douglas (North Lawndale)
Ranking: #86
This long and rangy scoring wing broke out last summer. He committed to Barton CC earlier this week.
Joshua Redic (Mt. Carmel)
Ranking: #117
This projectable wing with size and length broke out as a senior posting quality numbers in the Chicago Catholic League. On Friday he announced his commitment to Roosevelt.
Jordan Brown (Waukegan)
Ranking: #163
Brown is an underrated scorer in the senior class. He is headed to Des Moines Area CC.
Brian Johnson (Glenbrook North)
Ranking: #164
Johnson is a skilled face up four that can shoot it and has developmental potential at the small college level. He chose North Central to play his college basketball.
