Feik is running this spring with Deep III once again and while the unsigned senior didn’t play this past season, his hard-nosed mentality kept him in the gym and working on his game.
“During the winter I really focused on gettin stronger and faster,” Feik said. “I would spend an hour in weight room and then I would hit the gym and get some shots up pretty much the whole day.”
Feik kept in shape as his goal is to continue playing on at the college level. He notes that things were slow in his recruitment since he didn’t play this past year at Wilsonville High School, but he’s tried to do his part by attending open gyms at Multnomah and Clackamas.
Feik is hopeful that playing this spring he’ll be able to attract more attention again with Deep III and he’s happy about how things are going.
“We’re looking really good this year and I’m super excited,” Feik said. “We had a really good team last year but we’re hoping to up those expectations. We’re going to be a really stingy, defensive team. I just want to win more games than last year and play 94 feet for the entire game.”
Feik currently ranks as the #63 player in the PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2019 rankings.
