Pushes it in transition with his speed. Often draws defenders on dribble penetration kicking to open shooters. Sound shooter that can knock down pull up threes at a solid rate.
Davis broke down a very good junior season.
“We had a pretty good team. Didn’t go as far as we thought we would. Will Wolfe and Jaehshon Thomas we all played well together. When it came to crunch time we had to mature and we didn’t mature in enough time. It is a big season coming up next year back in 1A. We can definitely win a state title. I had a great season. As a leader and second year captain and three year starter on varsity. I am a couple points away from 1,000 points. Second in steals and second in assists in school history.”
They could be the preseason favorites to win the 1A crown next year.
“This year is definitely going to help us long term just from us this year getting a feel for it. Now it is our last year and there is nothing to lose. We are all getting better and are always together in school and in the gym building chemistry. We are getting ready to be unstoppable. If they try to stop one person another is ready to go.”
What are the strengths of his game?
“I feel my strength is attacking the basket. Controlling the game. Leading the team. Knocking down shots.”
He is running with Hoops Intensity Training again this summer.
“I am definitely looking forward to enjoying my last AAU season and not taking it for granted. Going hard. Playing hard, with each other, and getting looks together.”
Already several D2 programs are showing heavy interest.
“I have Northern State, Minnesota Duluth, Emporia State, and Indiana Wesleyan. They are all interest.”
Northern State is making a heavy push for him.
“I love the way their team plays. They have a really good coach. My coach knows him. They are a very successful program and lead the nation in attendance.”
Currently Davis checks in at #66 overall and the #14 point guard in the 2020 class.
