Continue ReadingIn case you’ve been living under a rock for a week or so, the only spring live period in 2019 came and went over the weekend and several Kentuckians are picking up offers in the wake of the only NCAA D1 recruiting weekend of Spring AAU. Here’s a look at the new offers that have come down since the weekend started on Friday.
McCracken County’s Jackson Sivills has been offered by Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville State and Wofford in addition to an offer from Belmont when Casey Alexander got the job. Jackson continues to be a hot name with coaches and is near the top of the rankings for a reason.
Sivill’s AAU teammate Alex Matthews from John Hardin was offered by Coastal Carolina late last night. That was Matthews’ first scholarship offer at any level. Matthews is a big wing that can play inside and out.
Collins point guard Dayvion McKnight had a big weekend with M.A.T.T.S. Mustangs. He’s been offered by Ball State and Murray State in the last 24 hours. Look for Murray, WKU, EKU and Dayton should all be by the school this week.
North Oldham’s Justin Powell recently picked up an offer from Georgia Tech and was a hot name coming out of the weekend. Justin has new interest from Butler, who was at school yesterday. Xavier is doing an in home visit tonight, Georgia Tech in the house tomorrow, Michigan and Oklahoma will be around this week also.
2021 has a player with an offer now. Jaden Rogers of Fern Creek has become the first Sophomore in Kentucky with a scholarship offer. Miami of Ohio is the first to offer Jaden. He had a big weekend with Brad Beal Elite.
Senior Michael Moreno was offered a scholarship by Wofford as well as a new one from Elon. He’s visited both in recent weekends. Moreno is the biggest name left in the 2019 class in Kentucky.
Trinity Senior Jamil Hardaway was offered by Parkland College over the course of the weekend.
Ballard forward Rashad Bishop has been awarded his first basketball scholarship from Central State.
