Recruiting Report: Jaxson Robinson 2021 Wing
If you have been following Prep Hoops in Oklahoma over the past few years you were not as surprised as some with the performance of Jaxson Robinson at The Warmup in Arkansas. Entering Friday night Robinson had zero college scholarship offers at the NCAA Division I level.
Although college coaches can only be in person recruiting at two events many are utilizing BallerTv to take in the action. Friday night at was a great example of that as Robinson shined against a good Woodz Elite Nike EYBL 16U squad.
Robinson could not miss from the three-point stripe. No, seriously he was 9-12 from behind the arc. Houston saw enough to extend Robinson his first offer with multiple other NCAA Division I programs inquiring on his talents.
The offer has been a long time coming for Robinson. He was thrilled, to say the least.
“It was a great feeling,” said Robinson. I felt a rush in me knowing all the hard work is starting to pay off and I am getting noticed. I was always known for my potential but I think I have started to finally get out of that phase and sprout into the player I am today.”
The performance of Robinson at Made Hoops The Warmup was one of the best shooting shows I have ever seen in a grassroots setting. As for where Robinson and Griffin go from here Robinson has high goals.
“The game tonight was great,” said Robinson. “To go out and get the W on another EYBL 16U team. We are still trying to get used to each other. Once we find that connection between all 8 guys we will be even more deadly than we already are. We want to be the best team in the country.”
The offer from Houston tonight is just the first of many Robinson will pull in this spring and summer with his height, length, shooting stroke, defense, and skill.
Update 10:30AM: Oklahoma State has also offered Robinson after his tremendous performance.
