Here Prep Hoops takes a look at several players who have raised their profile and moved up the Prep Hoops rankings in the 2020 class.
Easton Hunter, 6’2, G, 2020, Andale
Moved from 35 to 15
Hunter has good size at 6’2, and a strong, physical build. He’s not an above-the-rim player per say, but is a good athlete, capable of getting around his man and never seems to tire. He is in constant motion at the offensive end whether he is playing with the ball in his hands and attacking, or moving and cutting away from the ball. His calling card as an offensive player might be a high floater that he uses to score in the lane.
Michael Peake, 6’7, F, 2020, Blue Valley Northwest
Peake is new to the 2020 rankings, mostly because he transferred into the state from Missouri. He made his debut at No. 3 in the 2020 rankings and put together a strong junior season, helping the Huskies win a Class 6A state championship in Wichita. He has good size, skill and an inside-outside game that is scratching surface.
Jordan Vincent, 6’3, G, 2020, Eisenhower
Moved from 21 to 16
It doesn’t sound like much, moving five spots from 21 to 16, but the top of the 2020 class is pretty talented and difficult to crack and Vincent has solidified himself as one of the state’s premier players in the rising 2020 class after a big junior season. He is a talented scorer and all-around player who defends, has a long, rangy frame and good size and length for a guard and a knack for scoring in a variety of ways.
Dariq Williams, 5’11, G, 2020, Parsons
Moved from 31 to 18
Williams brings solid ball handling, quickness and the ability to get to the basket to the court. He has the ability to play above the rim, and brings versatility to the floor. Williams is an explosive athlete, can knock down deep 3-pointers and makes spectacular passes to find open teammates
