While Floyd has had plenty of potential, he seems to be maximizing it and turning it into talent. He is the most improved prospect that I have seen thus far in the early club season.
He is elusive and quick. Further, he is bouncy and has demonstrated as much in live games. His ability to get into the paint and be a 6’3 PG makes him an intriguing prospect at the next level.
He has good size and speed. Moreover, his shooting and passing have improved. The Eduprize prospect is playing at a high level against some of the nation’s top prospects.
While his play has created a lot of buzz, he has yet to receive his first offer. He has received interest from NCAA Division I schools. According to to Floyd, Detroit, NAU, and New Mexico have all expressed interest in his services.
As far as what he is looking for in a school is concerned, he mentioned that he is “looking for a school that will help [him] thrive academically and on the court.” In addition, he is looking for a degree in business or sports medicine.
He has not received his ACT score at this point. However, he stated that he is carrying a 3.0 GPA.
With the change of pace and athleticism that Floyd brings to the table, he makes himself an ingtriguing prospect at the next level. If he can continue to improve his shooting from deep and decision making, his stock will soar.
His play on the Adidas Gauntlet has demonstrated that he is an NCAA Division-I prospect. If his strong play continues, he will most likely draw more interest from NCAA Division-I schools.
