Sondberg will be playing with Team Durant this spring and summer on the EYBL. He is expected to add shooting and energy to a team with high expectations. During a recent interview with Prep Hoops, Sondberg described his overall game and his goals among other topics.
PH: For those who haven’t seen you play, describe your game?
ES: “Just high energy. Unselfish. Try to get my teammates better.”
PH: What’s the most improved part of my game?
ES: “I’m getting better at finishing around the rim.”
PH: I noticed that you’re a really good shooter. Is that something that came natural to you, or is it a skill that you had to acquire?
ES: “I’ve worked on it a lot, but I’ve always been a pretty good shooter.”
PH: What is something that’s underrated about your overall game?
ES: “I think my handles a little bit.”
PH: How has practicing with these guys helped you get better?
ES: “The competition is great. It’s really different from my high school, so I think it’s going to help me a lot.”
PH: How are your grades?
ES: “Really good. I have a 4.0 GPA.”
PH: What are your goals?
ES: “Just win.”
PH: What type of feedback have you received from college coaches about your overall game?
ES: “That I need to get stronger, but they like my shooting.”
PH: What do you think you can bring to a college program?
ES: “Anything they need to win. Just help my teammates, and bring energy to practices.”
