Currently standing at about 6-foot-2, Rowson is a long-limbed and intelligent wing who is still growing, and is expected to contribute on both ends of the floor this spring and summer. During a recent interview with Prep Hoops, Rowson described his overall game and discussed his goals.
PH: For those who haven’t seen you play, how would you describe your overall game?
DR: “I think I can distribute the ball pretty well. I think I have a pretty good basketball IQ so I look to distribute the ball a little and shoot it as well. I think I have pretty good off ball movement so I try to do that.”
PH: What are your grades like right now?
DR: “I got a 3.8 GPA, and then I have a 1210 SAT. I’m taking it again in May.”
PH: Your brother is obviously a very good player at Mary Washington. What type of recruitment are you getting right now at this point?
DR: “I’m talking to a few schools. Most of them are D3’s up in New England. A couple of conversations, no offers, but they’re kind of interested.”
PH: What size shoes do you wear?
DR: “13.”
PH: What’s your wingspan?
DR: “Last time I did it was about 6’4 or 6’5.”
PH: How old are you and when is your birthday?
DR: “I’m 16 and my birthday is July 17.”
PH: What position do you see yourself playing at the next level?
DR: “I’d say I see myself as a wing player at the college level.”
PH: What are your goals?
DR: “My goal is to get into a service academy and play basketball at one of those.”
PH: What do you think you can bring to a program at the next level?
DR: “I think I can bring good leadership, a good voice, execution, and getting things done.”
