Prep Hoops Circuit – The All Session 4 Team
The Prep Hoops Circuit was in Omaha/Council Bluffs for the Hardwork Region opener this past weekend and considering it was a small holiday break, the talent level was impressive. Today Prep Hoops honors the top performers in The All Session 4 Team.
Matthew Mors of SD Attack. Mors is ranked as a top 35 prospect by Prep Hoops in the national 2021 rankings and he lived up to his lofty ranking and reputation with an event championship and constant production. The Yankton, South Dakota product was a consistent mismatch for every team he faced shooting at about a 60 percent clip including about 40 percent at the arc. The Attack went 5-0 with Mors leading the way in several categories.
Max Murrell of Team Factory. Max put together a 60 point three game run from the quarters to the finals showing off a lefty touch and activity in a 6-foot-10 frame that has college programs locating him for this upcoming open period weekend. What left me most impressed about Murrell was his ability to move his feet around ball screens, the jab step attack into a dunk Max showed twice, and the quick off his feet finishes.
Chucky Hepburn of Team Factory 16u. The MVP of the 16u level was Chucky Hepburn, the six foot guard from Nebraska who now has an offer from the school in Lincoln, Nebraska (The Huskers). Hepburn’s quick hands and ball pressure ability led to six steals in the title game plus he was scoring 20 plus in several of the Team Factory 16 contests. Add in the Hepburn creation for teammates and you have one of the top prospects at the event.
Marcus Skeete of H.I.T. Marcus Skeete had an incredible weekend playing his team into the elite eight with consistent playmaking numbers. Skeete has put in a lot of work to get in better shape and with that has come a more explosive game. The speed and strength of Skeete getting to the rim led to consistent baskets and the jumper is much improved too. Skeete had 21 in the quarterfinal loss.
Andrew Morgan Minnesota Heat 16u. At the 16u level there weren’t players that could deal with the 6-foot-8 strength and agility of Morgan. The Heat – after having won the Comets Shootout the weekend before – took second place this past weekend with Morgan producing 9 of 11, 10 of 12, and 8 of 11 shooting performances. Morgan took his high school to the Class AAA title this year and hasn’t stopped winning since.
