They have talented players that can play on each level and a coach that understands how to get the very best out of his players. Already with some tournament championships under their belt, they are looking forward to taking another step in the right direction recruitment wise during live period.
2021 Guard Jaylon Armstrong is one that plays both ends of the floor, he can defend without fouling and is one of the more athletic players on the squad. We would define him as more of a slashing type of guard, and have seen him knock down shots but is more productive when he gets inside.
2021 Guard Daymon Beckwith is probably the top prospect on the team as he is a player that D1 programs have already been tracking. There are some players that can score the ball and others that are natural scorers, and he’s one that is a natural scorer, so to see him get 30 points is no big deal at all.
2020 Malachi Borders has been a player that filled up the scoring sheet during his high school season with quite a few big time games. He’s got a smooth jump shot, outstanding leadership qualities and a toughness that you have love, some D3 programs have shown interest.
2020 Guard Everett Lewis spent last season at Dixon HS putting up some nice numbers, he has a knack for scoring the ball and is one his team called on to score a lot. He has some nice athletic ability, and is one that can make plays above the rim, one to keep an eye on.
2021 Forward Lorenzo White is a double/double type of guy, he can score and rebound the ball at a pretty high level using his size and strength. At about 6’3 he can play multiple positions on both ends of the floor and has a nice amount of upside.
2020 Forward Quincy Martin was a player that showed up this season on quite a few occasions for Northside-Jax and will be one to keep an eye on over this summer. He has the size, skillset and upside that we like to see from a prospect and he showed at the recent Fab 40 Camp that he can compete with some of the better forwards in the state.
2020 Forward Emanuel Rodriguez is a player that you like to have on your team just off the workman type of attitude that he plays with. He doesn’t take many plays off, is constantly battling on the boards and can defend players that may be taller than him but using his strength and motor.
2021 Forward Aaron Oates will be another player to keep an eye on over the next year, he stepped in for Northside and provided some very nice play for them as they lost a bunch of seniors. He averaged close to a double/double for the Monarchs at about 8 and 8 on the night, he has what we would call sneaky bounce as he makes some plays above the rim.
2020 Forward Dalvin Hall is a D1 football player that brings his physical plays to the basketball court which is always a nice asset to have. Expect him to be an enforcer in the paint for the team as well as a player that can give them some double/double type numbers.
2020 Forward Ny’sean Fowlkes was a player that played a role for his school team and he will mostly likely have the same type of role on this squad. He’s another player that brings some toughness to the team and we fully expect him to be a productive rebounder.
2020 Guard Jarrod DeBose plays the game how it is supposed to be played and is another player that can put up some big time scoring numbers at any given moment. The lefty has shown how well he can score and break down defenders so he can play on the ball or you can have him play on the wing some.
