Kobe Johnson (6’5 2021 G, Phenom U EYBL)- Kobe heads into this weekend as one of the most intriguing prospects in the entire field of play. After growing both physically (listed at 6’5 in a recent Phenom U tweet) and as a player at Nicolet his sophomore year, it will be exciting to see what kind of damage he is ready to do at the 16u level. A poised and fundamentally sound player who can contribute at either guard spot, Kobe is capable of creating for both himself and others. With a plethora of talent elsewhere on the roster, Kobe will have plenty of chances to show off his distributing, while also having the space to get some buckets of his own. This will be a big spring in terms of Kobe’s recruitment, and he’ll look to get off to a hot start at the Swish ‘N Dish.
Isaac Lindsey (6’3 2020 G, Wisconsin Swing )- After running with Phenom U last year, Isaac Lindsey moves over to the Wisconsin Swing program, where he’ll likely take on a feature role. Already holding a few Division 1 offers from the likes of UNLV, DePaul, Milwaukee, and South Dakota State, Isaac is capable of lighting it up from deep. He can get his shot off from well beyond the arc, and that will be key for stretching the floor for his teammates while also filling up the box score for himself. Expect Isaac to come out firing from the jump and put on a shooting clinic all weekend long.
Antuan Nesbitt (6’3 2021 W, Wisconsin Sharks)- After an impressive sophomore campaign at The Prairie School, Antuan transitions into the AAU season ready to make noise for the Wisconsin Sharks program. He is a lanky prospect who can play the 1-3, while contributing in all areas on the court. He is an explosive athlete who can get to the rack and finish above the rim, while also taking over as a composed facilitator when needed. He holds a high ceiling as a prospect moving forward, and coming into this weekend with a small AAU program, he’ll look to make a name for himself playing against some bigger names.
Jermaine Tomlin (6’5 2020 F, Phenom U NY2LA)- Jermaine was a solid contributor for a loaded St. Catherine’s squad during the high school season, and will now be one of the bigger names on the Phenom U NY2LA squad. An athletic forward who will do most of his damage attacking the rim, Jermaine is also capable of knocking down open shots from outside. He is a tough defender and rebounder as well, willing to do all of the dirty work on both ends of the floor. Look for him to play a big role in his team’s success this weekend in Milwaukee.
Keaton Ferris (5’11 2020 G, Wisconsin Crusaders)- Keaton Ferris heads into this AAU season looking to prove himself as a scholarship level talent, and start bringing in some offers. Keaton is a player who can make it rain from deep, and whether it be off the dribble or in catch-and-shoot situations, he’s always a big time threat from beyond the arc. This past high school season he showed increased shot creating, using his ball handling to open up space for himself from deep or to get to the rack. Don’t be surprised if Keaton turns some heads this weekend.
Jacob Ognacevic (6’8 2020 F, Phenom U EYBL)- Jacob Ognacevic is fresh off a monster season with the Division 5 state champs, and will join a Phenom U squad that figures to be among the best in the nation. He’s proven that he can dominate at the high school level, so it will be interesting to see how his talent transitions against better competition, and with a mass of talent surrounding him. Jacob has a soft touch inside and is used to finishing over double teams, and sometimes triple teams at the high school level. He is also a developing shooter from deep, with a confident stroke that he continues to improve to become an inside-out scoring threat. He recently picked up his first offer from UW-Milwaukee, and many are eager to see how he performs this spring.
