Team Charlotte
Bryce Alfino – 6’4 – Wing
Team Charlotte was without star point guard Jalen Hood-Schifino, but that didn’t stop them from running through their competition. Bryce Alfino was one key cog in their success with his ability to disrupt his opponent’s rhythm on defense and athleticism on offense. Look for him to step up more this summer.
Bryson Nesbitt – 6’8 – Forward
Bryson Nesbitt is figuring things in the frontcourt for Team Charlotte . He had a number of big dunks and finishes around the rim in their run to the championship. He can also knock down the 3-ball.
Amarie Haynie – 6’3 – Guard
Amarie Haynie is the Energizer Bunny on defense and if he continues to apply himself, he’ll be hard to stop on both ends. On offense, he’s a sleek passer that can make plays in the blink of an eye. He’s got length, tenacity and strength. Keep an eye on him.
Tony Waters – 6’1 – Guard
He’s not as big as Amarie Haynie, but Tony Waters is another long and gritty defender that gives opponents fits. He uses his on-ball prowess to manufacture easy buckets for his team. Waters is on the rise and is still developing.
Nate Brafford – 6’8 – Forward
Nate Brafford is the other “Twin Tower” for this Team Charlotte squad. He runs the floor well and is even more of a lethal shooter from behind the arc. He can stretch the floor with his ability to shoot the basketball but also is efficient in the paint.
Kris Robinson – 6’1 – Guard
Kris Robinson is one of the best 3-point shooters in the state of North Carolina in his class. He wasn’t quite as efficient this past weekend, but when needed, he’s an able scorer, especially from behind the arc.
NC Gaters East
Elijah Thomas – 6’4 – Guard
Elijah Thomas is a versatile guard at 6-foot-4. Given his size, he’s able to transition into guarding the post some. On offense, he’s smart at getting to the rim or drawing fouls on his defender for free throws. Smart player that should get some looks.
Carolina Crossovers
Aaron Anthony Hall – 6’4 – Wing
Aaron Anthony Hall earned MVP honors against the NC Gaters East squad with a 15 point performance in their victory. He’s learning to play on the perimeter and as he does, look for his floor game to grow a whole lot. He got to the rim and finished on numerous occasions, even getting to the free throw line a few times.
Team Winston
Caden Davis – 6’4 – Guard
Caden Davis is fearless with the basketball in his hands for his Team Winston squad. He can score from anywhere on the floor and get to the free throw line for extra points with his solid body control going to the basket. Davis is certainly a player coaches want to get eyes on.
Cam Cormany – 6’0 – Guard
Cam Cormany is one of those sharpshooters you don’t want to leave open or he’ll make you pay. He was a key performer despite a close loss to Team Charlotte this past weekend, knocking down a few 3-pointers to keep his team in the game.
Team CP3
Breon Pass – 6’1 – Guard
Breon Pass is an athletic option at the off-guard position but a nice change of pace given their rotation. Pass is also a highly-rated football recruit so his athleticism is something that will catch eyes right away. He’s more than a dunker on the floor though with the ability to knock it down from behind the arc.
Bobby Pettiford Jr. – 6’1 – Guard
Bobby Pettiford Jr. is a 6-foot-1 guard due for a breakout AAU season this summer. He’s learning how to finish strong in traffic, which he showcased this past weekend with an And-1 poster dunk for his squad. Look for his stock to rise this summer.
Jacobi Wright – 6’1 – Point Guard
Jacobi Wright is a point guard with a high IQ and good decision-making skills with the ball in his hands. Wright can make plays for his teammates as well as for himself as one of those dangerous floor generals with a winner’s pedigree. He’s another stock riser on this CP3 squad.
