Northstar Q&A: Chris Lewis of MN Comets AAU
In this article:
We’re all still at the point of this young AAU season where we are working to get familiar with the new 17U rosters. As part one of a five-part series, we chatted with Chris Lewis of the MN Comets AAU program on his new roster additions, organizing the annual Comets Shootout, and the opportunity to coach with three generations of family on the bench.
Alex’s take: This year’s Comets Lewis team promises to be another NSIC darling. This program consistently delivers kids to the local D2 conference, and this spring/summer won’t be any different. Long scorer Matt Willert (Buffalo) has a great frame. Tony Dahl, also of Buffalo, is a grinder who simply makes it happen. The King bros. out of Caledonia are true competitors that don’t back down from anything. Nick Peterson is an excellent glue guy and Noah Puetz is a big, athletic promising forward. One of my other favorites is Cooper Olson, a high-motor forward with size.
