Josh Smith – 6’7 PF 2020 – Monrovia (IN) – Men of the Family 2020
Josh is a emerging forward who was really good today showing off everything he had. He’s grown 4 inches in the last year and is just now starting to get his footing back. He didn’t look as comfortable with everything during the high school season but he was great today. Shot the ball very well off the dribble and catch. Had a little flair to his jumpers on the perimeter with a crossover. Drove the ball well and used his body to his advantage. Has some speed but he isn’t overly athletic so will be interesting to see how that dribble-drive game develops. He’s growing really quickly here.
Bailey Conrad – 6’7 PF 2020 – Christian Academy (IN) – Indiana Legends 2020
Bailey is a big forward with a lot of strength and some sneaky athleticism. He’s gotten bigger, might have to define the frame more in college, but he moves very well and if in position can get up and throw it down. He’s gotten better in the mid-range, showing off a ton of creative ability with a turnaround jumper and a straight pull-up. He’s got that touch down pat in that area and is effective enough on the low block that offensively, he can play the 4 man but be able to switch onto 5s.
Jacob Johnson – 6’5 SF 2020 – Oldenburg Academy (IN) – Indiana Legends 2020
Jacob is a long, lean wing that has good handles and the frame seems to be a growing asset. He’s a capable ball handler and creative enough along the perimeter that when he wants to shoot, he can light it up. Has a ton of length and looks the part of a dynamic wing long term. He showed enough skill that you are ready to see him take over games. That is kind of the next step in his development because the package is there.
Ben Humrichous – 6’6 PF 2020 – Tipton (IN) – Indiana Elite Green 2020
Ben is a long, rangy forward who can stretch the floor and has the handles you want for a projectable prospect. He’s lean but should add strength well quickly. His jumper is good, could become a bigger factor at the next level. He has the ability to play inside and out but does look more comfortable faced up right now. Has the easy-to-see upside with his frame and length.
#1 Nick Spearing – 5’11 PG Roncalli (IN) – Northside Spartans 2020
Nick is a long, lean guard who could possible play on the ball but is best suited with his offensive skill set as a shooter. He’s got a ton of length and in time could be a pretty good on ball defender. Where he excels is as a shooter. He’s very technically sound with his release, high and quick. A little long but he knows how to get it off.
