Some of the most efficient scorers are off guards that are constantly moving and hunting their own shot. You don’t have to dominate the ball to be successful. Here are 7 shooting guards to watch this live period:
Jadan Coleman (Alabama Fusion)- Coleman has a buttery smooth jumper. He has in the gym type range and can score at all 3 levels. He won’t blow you away with his athleticism, but he is a very craft player with good size at 6’4.
Colby Jones (Alabama Fusion)- Jones is a deceptive athlete with a smooth jumper. This kid has developed into an aggressive driver that looks to get his teammates involved. Jones is 6’5 and has high academic D1 and MM coaches tracking his play.
Geraldo Lane (Pro One)- Lane is a long armed athlete. This kid is explosive and is a very good two way player. His length is very disruptive defensively. Lane needs to continue improving his 3pt shooting ability, but he can knock down open shots. It is also worth mentioning that Lane is a high academic recruit.
Tyler Woodard (Team Carroll)- Woodard is a very good slasher and super athletic. He has a solid build and good size at 6’3. Right now, Woodard’s best game is using his athleticism and playing above the rim. He is another prospect that needs more consistency in his jumper.
Hayden Lamey (JBA Jayhawks)- Lamey has a solid all around game and good size (6’3). He understands how to play without the ball, rebounds well from the perimeter, and he is a very efficient scorer. Deep range. Lamey needs to show off his playmaking ability more.
Ryshod Keith (Alabama Celtics)- Keith is a long, slender 2 guard. At 6’5 he has no problem shooting over people. He needs to add strength and continue to improve scoring at all 3 levels. Keith also has potential to be a very good two way player with his length.
Nolan Dean (Birmingham Thunder)- Dean is a very good shooter. Possibly one of the state’s best. He has good size at 6’3 and plays well without the basketball. He needs very little space off the catch and is also good on the move. Dean needs to continue developing his playmaking and 3 level scoring.
