2021 Jonathan Kuminga | NY Rens
After watching Kuminga this past weekend for the NY Rens, I think there could easily be a debate about putting Kuminga at the top of the list for the entire 2021 class. He can do so much on offense as I saw him shoot it from deep, he can surge to the rim and finish there and go catch alley oops and finish with authority. He currently stands at 6’9 and I have not been seeing a lot of people that can stop him. In a blowout win against Team CP3 he collected 23 points on 10/14 from the field including two triples.
2020 RJ Davis | NY Rens
Davis is usually one of the smallest players on the court but that does not phase him one bit. The lead guard was dishing out dimes this weekend as he averaged 5 per game. When he is not passing he can also torch you from ample areas on the court. He plays with a lot of confidence and is a lot of fun to watch with other high major players as him and Kuminga make for a scary duo.
2020 Josh Christopher | Vegas Elite
Christopher averaged 23 points this past weekend in Atlanta and put up 23 points in front of me a day after he scored 36. He brings terrific strength and length to the court as he is an extremely athletic shooting guard. Out of all the 2020 prospects I saw this past weekend, Christopher is in conversation to be one of the guys with the most upside. He did a tremendous job hitting shots and finishing in traffic. He definitely looks to score the basketball first but has the capability of passing to teammates as he averaged 6 assists per game.
2021 Gabe Dorsey | Team Durant
I saw Dorsey play twice this past weekend and he impressed each game. If college programs need a shooter that can consistently knock down shots, Dorsey is your guy. Dorsey is a lefty that made a lot of college coaches look into their roster packets wondering who they were watching. It seems like every time Dorsey shot the ball Saturday, his shot was going in. Look for his recruitment to take a major bump in the coming weeks and into the summer as he was turning a lot of heads in the ATL.
2022 Rodney Rice | Team Durant
Another standout from the 16u Team Durant team was guard, Rodney Rice. We have yet to lay out our Maryland/DC class of 2022 rankings but expect Rice to be at the top of the list. Rice continued to do what he did this past high school season and knock shots down all game long. Rice has tremendous athleticism and has high major written all over him. Since this weekend he has picked up offers from Seton Hall and Georgetown.
