This bouncing bunny will jump all over delivering and hiding candy for when kids wake up in the morning. I think its fair to say that the Easter Bunny “has hops”. In honor of the rabbit’s big day, we’ll take a look at some Michigan high school basketball players that also “have hops”.
Shawn Coad (6’1″, SG, Grand Rapids Angels)
Coad is nationally reknowned for his dunking ability. He has “put his money where his feet are”, competing in and winning regional and national dunk contests. In all reality, his dunks belong on TV.
Maliq Carr (6’6″, SF, Oak Park)
Carr is one of the best pure athletes in the state of Michigan, regardless of sport. Watch him play and you’ll see a young man that gets off the ground. Whether its basketball or football, Carr isxwalking highlight reel.
Didier Ngambo (6’3″, Wing, Taylor Prep)
Ngambo gets off the court, and he does it in a hurry. He can snag a board and throw the rebound down for a dunk before you blink an eye. Ngambo seems to be in the air more than on the court.
Steve Pearson (6’2″, SG, Detroit Northwestern)
Pearson has strong legs that get him up high and fast. At the Endless Motors Camp as a FRESHMAN, Pearson and Jamal Cain had a dunk contest that rivaled the NBA. Videos of Pearson flying through the air shoud go viral.
Trae Ruggles (6’2″, G, Grass Lake)
Ruggles has sneaky ups. He can throw down a dunk in the open floor and leave you wishing you had recorded it. When Ruggles goes up, it looks almost effortless.
Jalen Terry (2020, 6’2″, PG, Flint Beecher)
The recent Michigan State University commit can flat out get up. At 6’2″, he can still play above the rim. Terry can finish ferociously, even in traffic. His hops make him one of the most exciting players to watch.
