Hard Work Region Preview: Windy City All-Stars
The spring is here! We have been previewing the teams participating in the PrepHoops Circuit Hard Work Region over the last few months.
Below is our chat with Renee Martin of the Windy City All-Stars previewing this upcoming season!
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
My program started in Spring of 2016, my son was playing on a local travel team that dissolved rather quickly so I had to put a ‘S” on my chest and figure out a way to keep my sons playing basketball competitively. After a few short weeks, Windy City Allstars was formed. We were blessed to have received a brand new set of jerseys from eClick Lending and were in our first tournament shortly after. We started off with a solid group of boys playing as a team, in some local tournaments and here we are today blessed to be on a circuit playing competitive basketball with some amazing talented student athletes.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year?
Over 60% of the players on this 15U team have been with us since Day 1, and have played the prior year with each other.
Who should we have our eye on?
#22 Keynan Davis – Hampshire High School – Has been with us since Day 1
#23 Kennon Cook – Dundee Crown High School – Has been with us since Day 1
#11 Martez Jackson – Dekalb High School – Joined our team this season, he is a great addition.
#2 Kevin Dela Paz – Hampshire High School – Has been with us since Day 1.
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
If I could sum it up in one word, it would be….exposure.
