I know for sure that a couple of these wings are on College Coaches radars. We also have a few other that coaches need to get out in person to see as well. This list is not a ranking or in any particular order.
Sherman Brashear 6’5 SF / Rockwall HS {TX} / 2020 / Dallas Showtyme
This prospect is very athletic. Uses his athleticism to rebound and also block shots. Driving from the wing is his strong point. Plays decent in the short corner. Has a good handle on the ball. Good lateral movement to keep his opponent in front of him. He will dunk on you also. Has good strength for his frame. Plays with a high motor. Get’s after the 50/50 balls also. He was a focal point for opponents. His quick hands defensively and his athleticism is his greatest strengths. A solid prospect that could play at the D1 low major/D2 level.
Sadadriene Hall 6’5 SF / Sulphur Springs HS {TX} / 2020 / Dallas Showtyme
This uber bouncy prospect brings the boom when he delivers. He doesn’t just dunk the ball, but he does it for the whole gym to hear and feel it. I wonder what his vertical is because he gets up there pretty high. He’s also a glass cleaner. Rebounds well on both sides of the floor. Strong outlet passer who rim runs the floor. He didn’t display too much outside of the paint, but when he did he was money. Has a decent handle when driving from the wing. Was able to guard smaller guards also. Could fit in at the D1 mid-low major/D2 level.
Harrison Vickers 6’5 SF / Chaminade Prep {MO} / 2020 / Gateway Basketball Club
Plays with good IQ. Knows what everyone is supposed to be doing on the floor. Sets solid screens both on and off the ball. Moves well without the ball in his hands. Active on the glass as well. He is an athletic wing that has a nice bounce to his game. Great lateral movement defensively. Active hands when guarding the ball and contest shots. He will also dunk on you so don’t be under the rim. Would be a great pick up for a D1 low major/D2 program.
Daniel Abreu 6’6 SF / Willard HS {MO} / 2020 / Missouri Flight
This prospect is has a great frame. In high school, he is used as the center. He is definitely a wing. Light on his feet with good lateral movement. He was able to score the ball at all three levels. In the paint, he has good footwork with a nice post skill set. He facilitated mainly out of the post also. Was able to knock down mid-range shots off the dribble. Knocked down trey balls also. Rebounds with the best of them also. He could be a solid 3:D guy on the D2/D3/NAIA level.
Austin Atkinson 6’6 WG / Plano HS {TX} / 2020 / NTX Crush
Long and athletic wing who has a long first step. The great wingspan of this prospect allows him to check opponents who play 3-4 position. Was able to defend smaller quicker guards also. Gets to the rim and finishes well. Has a 3-ball game also. A really good handle on the ball. He has a slender frame which worked out well for him when utilizing euro steps. Would be a great pickup for any D2/D3/NAIA program.
Jalyn Todd 6’5 CF / Deer Creek HS {OK} / 2020 / Oklahoma Eagles
Todd is a player who likes to get physical. He can play either the wing or the four. Has good lateral movement. Bouncy wing who dunks with authority. He is very athletic. Uses his athleticism and strength to rebound the ball. Runs the lanes well. Plays with a good motor. Would fit a D3/NAIA team really well.
Davon Wright 6’6 WG / Cypress Springs HS {TX} / 2020 / Texas Takeover-Ned
Had a big weekend on the Prep Hoops Circuit. He played very consistent and brought his tool bag to every game. Played with great energy. Every game was a 20+ point game for him. He isn’t the quickest or fastest player on the court, but he has a good offensive skill set. Utilizes triple-threat and ball fakes. Has quick ball handling and finishes well around the rim. He also can shoot the trey ball at a high rate. Has a nice bounce in his game and had multiple dunks the weekend. Solid fit for any program at the D1 Mid-Low Major/D2 level.
Brandon Howard 6’5 W / Opelika HS {AL} / 2021 / Alabama Celtics 16U
Stocky wing who can shoot the ball. Brings a good physical presence to the game. Has good moves inside the paint. Rebounds the ball well. Shoots the long ball off the dribble and on the catch. This young prospect played consistently over the weekend. Look forward to watching his game develop over the summer. Coaches should be on the watch for him.
K.J. Adams 6’6 SF / Austin Westlake HS {TX} / 2021 / Team Griffin 16U
Hands down the best prospect at the Prep Hoops Circuit was this 16U stud. KJ already has multiple D1 offers, and after this weekend he just picked up an offer from Oregon University. Has crazy athleticism and will dunk you every chance he gets. Has a high IQ on both sides of the ball. Showcased his mid-range game and knocked down a couple of trey balls. Defensively he was swatting everything he attempted to block. One possession he knocked down a three, went and pinned a lay-up, then brought it down and finished an and-one dunk on his defender.
JV Seat 6’3 WF / Edmond Memorial HS {OK} / 2022 / Team Griffin 15U
This young prospect was putting up numbers all weekend long. Has a big body frame which he will shred over the years. Uses his size well in the post. Don’t be fooled he can and will take you off the dribble also. He has a quick first step and good counter moves. He scored big buckets all weekend long, a lot of 20+ games for this young prospect. He is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on as he develops over the years.
