Geico Nationals: La Lumiere vs Oak Hill (Standouts)

BROOKLYN, NY— The Geico Nationals is the best thing going in high school basketball. Having eight quality teams that are well-coached with rosters that are chock-full with elite talent should get any basketball enthusiast excited. When you have a tournament with arguably the No. 1 “big” in America in Vernon Carey Jr. as well as potential McDonald’s All American candidates in elite juniors Scottie Barnes and Jaden Springer, that is quite exclamation point for must-watch television. 

Isaiah Stewart (La Lumiere)

2019, C, 6-foot-9, 250 pounds

Joel’s Take: It could be argued that—based on production—Stewart is the No. 1 player in the country. His motor and winning mentality is contagious and a sight to see in this generation—where “self” trumps “team” in so many facets. He has the physical tools (long, strong, and broad) as well as the budding skill to dominate all comers as an incoming freshman at Washington.
