Klayton Copeland 2021 / 6’3 W / Malakoff HS (TX) [YGC36-17U Black]
This young prospect who is playing up doesn’t miss a beat. He is an undersized forward as far as height goes. But his athleticism makes up for it. He cleaned up on the glass well snatching down big time rebounds. He can take you coast to coast. Has great lateral movement to lock up guards and is physical enough to play down low. I didn’t get a chance to ask him if he’s a football kid. If he isn’t, he should definitely consider it. Finished the game with 14 points and a victory over UC Hoops Gold.
Christian Cook 2020 / 6’2 SG / Midwest City HS (OK) [Team Buddy Buckets]
Christian continues to cook with fresh grease every time i see this prospect. He plays with an high motor. Let’s talk about his defense and how well he has been playing. Quick active hands on defense. Hedging on screens and great help defense. He displayed his explosiveness around the rim and was knocking down shot after shot. Has a great handle on the ball despite how the game is going and stays under control. He had 25 points and came away with the win over Texas Legion Elite.
Davon Wright 2020 / 6’5 WG / Cypress Springs HS (TX) [Texas TakeOver-Ned]
Davon continues his great spring campaign with Texas TakeOver-Ned. He played above the rim at times. He is becoming more of a threat on the perimeter offensively. He can shoot the long ball or take his man to the rim off the dribble. Moves well without the ball in his hands at times. He plays solid defense inside the perimeter. He continues to impress and play at a high level each outing. His stock continues to rise. Coaches were taking notice also of this prospect as they attended all of his games.
Robert Charles 2019 / 6’1 PG / Pearland HS (TX) [Houston Raptors-Netty]
This usigned senior has been playing really good lately. Likes to play fast paced basketball and has a good motor. He displayed his facilitating skills on Fridays victory over CenTex Attack DeWitty – Varsity. He was able to take his man off the dribble and either finished at the rim or dished it out for an assist. Finished the game with 8 assist. Has tremendous lateral movement defensively. Quick hands when guarding the ball to come away with steals. Had 4 steals in the game. This prospect would be a great pick up for any JuCo, D3, or NAIA school right now.
