Eric: You just finished up your freshman season at Sunnyslope. What did you take away most from it?
Jayden: Just how fast the game is and how good everyone at high school level is. It was fun, but made me realize how much I have to do.
You play with a lot of energy on defense. What do you like so much about defense?
A lot of times I don’t really care about offense. I care about winning, and if that means I had to put all my energy into defense, then I will. I like trying to lock other guys down.
What are you working on most this AAU year?
I’m trying to become an all-around better player. I want to get better at everything.
What about this Exert Black team? What do you think it will take to have success through this summer?
We have a lot of guys who are decent size for their position. But, it’s going to be about just playing together and upping our chemistry. I think some teams are underrating us too, so we have to come out hard.
