Program Background:
FOH Seattle has been in the Pacific Northwest AAU circuit since 1997 and has produced some of the top talent from the area onto the collegiate ranks and a few were lucky enough to play in the NBA. A former shoe-circuit team, FOH Seattle for the last handful of years is a non-shoe circuit team and continues to produce high quality teams and players due to the talent in the area.
Donald Brady and Ron Manalo will be coaching the 16u team this year.
Notable Alumni; Zach LaVine, Joe Harris, Isaiah Thomas, Spencer Hawes, Martell Webster, Jon Brockman, Corey Kispert, Cole Bajema https://www.fohseattle.com/alumni/
Roster: FOH Seattle 16u
2021 6’5 G/F Casey Jones (Eastlake HS) – Strong, Athletic wing. Capable of scoring in a variety of ways. Excellent help defender and great in the open court.
2021 6’6 G/F Champ Spencer (Bonney Lake HS) – Shooter, scorer. Solid frame and straight line athleticism. Best attribute is his shooting, but has improved his mid range and to the basket game.
2021 6’6 G/F Hudson Hansen (Bellevue HS) – Long, ball handling wing. Has a great basketball IQ and plays the right way. Can play the point and uses his size to see over the defense. Great at getting deflections and reading passing lanes.
2021 6’5 SF Carter Korab (Jackson HS) – Solid, inside outside presence. Can pick and pop or use his body to seal smaller defenders. Another long defender that is great off the ball blocking shots or getting deflections.
2021 6’1 G Ryan Thompson (Newport HS) – Combo guard that can run a team and score in bunches. Shoots the 3 well in spot up or off the bounce. Has a good first step getting to the rim.
2021 5’8 PG Timmy Crandall (Issaquah HS) – Pass first point guard that led the state in assists as a Sophomore. Great in the pick and roll and a capable scorer when needed.
2021 6’1 SG Cade Gebbers (Brewster HS) – Skilled wing player with a high level basketball IQ. Plays the right way and can get it going from behind the arc.
2021 6’2 G Nicholas Sysum (Jackson HS) – Shooter with a knack for getting deflections defensively. Another player that understands the game and how to play.
2021 6’4 F Michael Casper (Juanita HS) – Skilled, big bodied wing. Tough rebounder and strong enough to finish around the basket through contact.
Coach’s outlook:
We are excited about this group and look forward to coaching them. There is a lot of length, basketball IQ, and interchangeable pieces that will allow us to play what we hope to be a fun brand of basketball. We hope to have a free flowing offense that allows our players to demonstrate their decision making and play making abilities. Defensively we will rely on our length to protect the basket and three-point line as well as turn some deflections into offense on the other end.
Scout’s Outlook:
Any team led by Donald Brady is going to be well coached! This 16u team should get things rolling as the season goes along and they pick up on some of the concepts that their coaches are trying to instill. The wing play with this group is very good when you consider their versatility and length. When it’s all said and done, FOH will have one of the strongest 16u teams in the PNW this season.
