Jeikel Davis – Team Phoenix – Tri City Christian
It’s clear he knows how to use his body, listed at six-foot-seven online with large shoulders to secure great position near the hoop. His frame was too much for opposing rebounders to deal with throughout the weekend, especially on the defensive end.
John McGowan – Tru Heat – NFL Yet
McGowan plays a lot of tournaments at Inspire, usually competing on the Inspire squad. He always seems to pride himself on competing for boards on both ends. When the shot was put up on offense and defense, he was looking to better his position to get extra possessions for the squad.
Julian Jackson – AZ Breakdown – Mesa
Breakdown did not field a particularly large team, especially on the first day of play, so he had to handle more of a big-man load than he might normally be used to. He did it well, though, boxing out and coming down with boards on both ends over and around bigger players because of his hustle.
Carl Wilson – Tru Heat – Chandler
Wilson is the only guard on the list, but he used his lower body strength and was always the low man able to get great position near the basket. He fought for every inch and got boards because of it.
