John Whitehead
Upward Stars Southeast 2020 went down to the wire with a upset minded Upward Stars Upstate Blue squad. The Southeast squad prevailed 75-66. Three players took home high honors for Upward Stars Southeast 2020 . Raekwon Horton, Justin Amadi and John Whitehead all scored 17 points. Dillon Jones added 12 points in the win. Myles Tate and P.J. Hall didn’t play in the game.
Alex Cunningham
Alex Cunningham led the charge for Head Coach Ward Yount with 16 points. Zach Laird added 15 points while Malik Joseph chipped in with 12 points.
Justice Jackson #33 Tauris Watson #11
Upward Stars Pee Dee a new group to the organization this season held off a feisty Upward Stars Columbia Joye team to win. The Pee Dee team was led by Timothy Steele with 22 points and 4 three pointers. Tauris Watson added 13 points while Justice Jackson chipped in with 9 points.
Thomas Tyler
The Columbia squad got good play from Thomas Tyler with 18 points while Earl Linnon and Cha’mar Martin both provided 12 and 11 points respectively in the 2nd half.
Jalen Breazeale
The Upward Stars Southeast 2021 group had little trouble in defeating Upward Stars Pee Dee 16. The Southeast team was playing without Bryce McGowens and Joshua Beadle. Robert McCray, DaVeon Thomas, Cesare Edwards, TJ Sanders and Jalen Breazeale all played solid roles in the lopsided victory.
The Upward Stars Pee Dee 16 is coached by Hartsville HS Head Coach Yusuf English.
