All-Blue Collar Team
Danari Ladson (2020) – Dillon HS – Big Shots Elite 2020 (pictured on the front)
Prep Hoops has seen Ladson a lot over the years at Dillon HS in the Pee Dee. Ladson 6’5 really likes to play the game on contact. Ladson a football player also for the Wildcats (Great Tradition 5 State Championships in last 7 years). Ladson makes position and is never afraid to throw his body around in the paint. Ladson can put the ball on the deck and drive it the rack. Ladson is a perfect mismatch at times especially against bigger and slower post players.
All-MIA (Missing in Action) this weekend
Darjawuan BrownDarjawuan Brown (2020) – North Charleston HS – Low Country Elite
I was really looking forward to seeing Brown play this weekend in the event. Brown was not in attendance at all as he had a prior engagement according to his high school coach Chris Brown. Brown averaged 26.1 ppg, 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists this season while being named Region Player of the Year this season for the Cougars. Brown helped the Cougars to a (18-8) record this season.
UNSIGNED SENIOR
Darius DawsonDarius Dawson (2019) – West Florence HS – Team Wright 17U
Prep Hoops did a previous article on UNSIGNED SENIORS but didn’t include Dawson as we didn’t see him play on the opening day of the event. Dawson 6’5 is a military kid and just played his senior season for the Knights. Dawson averaged 10.8 ppg and 8.8 rebounds this season. Dawson played his junior season at Douglas HS in Box Elder, SD. Dawson plays bigger than his size and has the ability to drive the basketball to the rack from the top of the key.
The Future is VERY BRIGHT !!!
Daniel NtambweDaniel Ntambwe (2023) – Heritage Christian Academy IJN (Ravenswood, WV) – West Virginia Impact 2023
Ntambwe is the younger brother of Joel Ntambwe (UNLV/NBA Draft) and Jonathan Kuminga (Our Savior New American (NY). Ntambwe 6’4 has a great motor and just dominates around the basket with superb athleticism. Ntambwe blocked several shots today and finished around the cup. Ntambwe really seems to excel I nthe transition game. Ntambwe will be entering the 9th grade next fall and will be a name you will for sure down the road more and more.
