Connor Higgins – Crayton Middle School (Columbia) – Carolina Cavs 2023 (pictured on front)
Higgins 6’5 forward has great length and cleans up the glass. Higgins played at a school which feed into AC Flora HS. Higgins runs the floor well and keeps the ball up high. Higgins will be a player to keep tabs on down the road for sure.
Tyveon Burch – East Union Middle School (Marshville, NC) – Carolina Cavs 2023
Burch 6’3 wing has a really good look to him. Burch moved up and down the floor nicely. Burch rebounded the ball on both ends and was able to put the ball on the floor.
Zion Cooper
Zion Cooper – Davis Drive Middle School (Cary, NC) – Carolina Cavs 2023
Cooper 6’2 is a thick bodied kid from the Tar Heel State. Cooper excels on the football field as well on the hardwood. Cooper a left-handed post played with his back to the basket and moved really well with great footwork. Cooper had a soft touch on the foul line and got to the foul line on several occasions.
Monroe Freeling
Monroe Freeling – Laing Middle School (Mount Pleasant) – TMP 15U
Freeling is the younger brother of Tristan who plays at Wando HS. Freeling 6’4 is a back to the basket post player playing up on the TMP 15U team. Freeling plays with his back to the basket and will carve out space in the paint.
Cole Strickler
Cole Strickler – Cairo Middle School (Mount Pleasant) – Big Shots SC 2023
Strickler 6’3 knocked down some elbow jumpers today along with defending the passing lanes. Strickler moved really well without the ball and was very vocal on the floor. Strickler looks to excel on the football field and plans on being at Oceanside Collegiate in the future.
