The Atlanta Celtics and Game Elite programs, as we all should know by now, are the Georgia grassroots programs that represent the peach state every season in the Adidas Gauntlet.
Both programs will be making the trip to Spartanburg this weekend fully loaded with the 15U, 16U, and 17U rosters. Both Game Elite and Atlanta Celtics have a plethora of alumni who went on to play at the next level in college and beyond. Players like Jaylen Brown (Game Elite), Darius Perry (Game Elite), Kobi Simmons (ATL Celtics), Josh Langford (ATL Celtics), Zion Williamson (Game Elite), and others.
Both the 16U and 17U squads for both programs are pretty solid with prospects who should receive attention from college coaches and scouts this spring, summer. 2020 PG KD Johnson (Game Elite), 2020 PG Deivon Smith (ATL Celtics), 2020 SG Toneari Lane (ATL Celtics), 2021 SG Garrison Powell (Game Elite), 2021 F Robbie Armbrester (Game Elite), 2021 F Jabri Smith Jr. (ATL Celtics), 2021 PG Danny Stubbs (ATL Celtics), and others are expected to play this weekend for both the 16U and 17U rosters.
A couple names to remember from the Game Elite 15U roster will be 2022 PG Sterling “Scoota” Henderson and 2022 F Joyful Hawkins. Both Henderson and Hawkins could be receiving some national attention and even some regional attention from the media, scouts, and college coaches for the near future as both are tremondously good players.
