Elijah Ormiston
Elijah Ormiston – Easley Home School (Easley) – Upward Stars Upstate Bailey 16
Ormiston 6’6 was a pleasant surprise for sure with his play and playing up a age group. Ormiston helped his team to a (22-6) record this season. Ormiston averaged 25.2 ppg and 11.4 rebounds for the Guardians. Ormiston moved very well around he floor and played with his back to the basket. Ormiston already has a good frame for a young age and soft touch from 8-10 feet.
Ormiston sealed and moved really well around the block. Ormiston played very aggressive on both ends of the floor. Ormiston looks to be headed to the Cannon School in Concord, NC next season according to his grassroots coach Corey Bailey.
Mason Johnstone Mason Johnstone 6'7" | PF Christ Church | 2022 State SC – Christ Church – Team Velocity (pictured on front)
Johnstone likes to play-face-up to the basket. Johnstone connected on some 12-14 footers here today. Johnstone moves quite well around the floor and basket. Johnstone finished several times with his left-hand at the basket. Johnstone 6’5 moves very well away from the ball and should be a nice compliment to John Butler John Butler 7'0" | PF Christ Church Episcopal | 2021 State #51 Nation SC at Christ Church next season.
Johnstone helped Team Velocity win the 9th grade bracket this weekend at the Ashton Arnold Tourney.
Bobby Taylor Bobby Taylor 5'10" | PG Daniel | 2022 State SC – Daniel HS (Central) – Team Velocity
Taylor 5’10 left-handed floor general saw the floor really well for Team Velocity. Taylor hit the mid-range jumper in transition on several occasions over the weekend. Taylor made his teammates happy with his unselfish player and distributing the ball around the floor.

Kidd Brizek Kidd Brizek 6'6" | SF Powdersville | 2022 State SC – Powdersville HS – Team Velocity
Brizek 6’4 is a deceptive athlete with a skinny-wiry frame. Brizek settled for a lot of shots on the perimeter over the weekend. Brizek must get stronger in the future and learn to fight through contact better. Brizek had a good shot release and was also able to handle the ball up the floor at times.

Savion Brown Savion Brown 6'2" | CG Berea | 2022 State SC – Berea HS – Team South Carolina
Brown 5’10 saw quality minutes this past season for Berea HS. Brown has good range from downtown and finished on contact a few times today in a victory.

Jaleel Skinner Jaleel Skinner 6'5" | SF IMG Academy | 2022 FL – Greer HS – Team South Carolina
Skinner 6’5 wasn’t here for the rest of the weekend as he was taking in the University of the South Carolina Spring Football Game. Skinner played a major role last season for Greer HS on the way to the State Football Class 4A State Championship Game. Skinner has great hands and is a BIG-TIME Athlete. Skinner has incredible footwork and finishes everything around the basket.
Lebron Thomas Lebron Thomas 6'2" | CG Trinity Collegiate | 2022 State SC – Lee Central HS (Bishopville) – Florence International Basketball (FIBA)
Thomas plays so mature and poised for his age. Thomas connected on some mid-range jumpers along with floaters to help FIBA win some games over the weekend. Thomas averaged 11.7 ppg this season for the Stallions.
Pharell Boyogueno
Pharell Boyogueno – Riverside HS – Tigers Elite Blue
Boyogueno 6’3 was automatic all night long with hitting elbow jumpers. Boyogueno altered shots on the defensive end with his his long wingspan. Boyogueno played very aggressive on both ends of the floor with rebounding the basketball.
