Here were the Day-1 standouts from other states:
2019
Dean Keeler C 6’10” 195 of Marina HS (So-Cal) (Cali Rebels 17U)
-Keeler is a highly skilled post player. He has a polished hook with either hand plus a nice drop step move. He can face up from elbow and in and rebounds well in his area. He will need to add weight moving forward but holds offers from D-2’s Chico State and Cal State East Bay. Don’t be surprised if he gets a late D-1 offer. (Ranked #70 in the 2019 class in So-Cal).
2020
Javonte Johnson SG/SF 6’5″ 178 of Cheyenne Mountain HS (CO) (Billups Elite 17U)
-Johnson is a talented scorer from all 3 levels. He has a nice looking jumper that is consistent from the 3pt line and has a good handle. He can create his own shot and make tough contested layups in the paint. He had one nasty tip-dunk way above the rim showcasing his athleticism. He makes good reads to teammates and is well under the radar at a smaller school in Colorado. He holds offers from Northern Colorado and Denver but we all use the term, “He will blow up this year.” Well, that will be Johnson. The higher schools in his own state with Colorado State and Colorado may start looking at the rising senior. (Currently ranked #9 in CO and will most likely move up on next rankings).

Jabe Mullins PG 6’5″ 190 of Mount Si (WA) (Zach Lavine 17U)
-Mullins has an off the charts feel. He plays at his own pace and is very hard to speed him up. Smart pick and roll player and always seems to make the correct play. Can pull-up off the dribble from mid-range. Very good passer and decent defender. The Washington product holds offers from Montana, Eastern Washington and Santa Barbara. But hearing from many others. (Currently ranked #5 in WA)
Jhaylon Martinez C 6’10” 235 of Coronado HS (NV) (Uneek Ballers 17)
-Strong post player has many skills to like. He can face-up from elbow and in plus has polished post footwork to utilize. He uses his strength inside to rebound and is more nimble and athletic then he appears. He could lean out some but has a bright future. (Was ranked #8 in Nor-Cal before he moved to NV).
2022
Chris Bunch SG 6’6″ of De La Salle HS (Nor-Cal) (Hotshots Elite 16U)
-Bunch is a budding star in Nor-Cal. He has a great body and big time athleticism. He is very skilled and can handle the ball well for his size. His best attribute is his jump shot. He rattled off seven 3’s in one game and had other four+ 3’s made in other games. Already hearing from SMU, Saint Mary’s and others. (Currently ranked #5 in Nor-Cal but he may end up #1 in the area.)
