AAU Preview: Manimal Elite
After having multiple Adidas Gold teams over the last few years, only one is left standing in Kentucky. Manimal Elite is sponsored by Houston Rockets forward Kenneth Faried and ran by Faried’s right hand man and former teammate, Maze Stallworth. Here’s a quick look at their 15u-17u Rosters and Schedules:
15u Roster:
- Jack Edelen (2023) – Skilled point guard reclassed to 2023 last summer. Will be a top 15 freshman in Kentucky next season.
- DJ Tilford, Ballard – Bully capable of getting to the rim, DJ averaged just under 2 points per game for the Bruins.
- Andru Markham, Fern Creek – A solid all around player, Markham averaged 5 points per game for FC
- James Jewell, Eastern – Our top ranked 2022 in Kentucky, Jewell is a force on the defensive end.
- Justin Becker, Robertson County – Our second ranked 2022, Justin poured in 19 points per game this year.
- Yared Raley, Bullitt East – One of the best athletes on this team, Raley averaged a point per game in 22 varsity games this season.
- Selah Brown, Male – Known more for his football abilities, Brown brings toughness to the roster.
- Turner Buttry, Bowling Green – The top ranked PG in our 2022 rankings, Turner averaged 7 points per game for the Purples.
- Brandon Rayzer-Moore, Jeffersontown – Our third overall player in 2022, Brandon has a smooth game and averaged 12 points per game.
- Caden Veltkamp, South Warren – A two sport star as a quarterback, Veltkamp averaged 9 points per game as a freshman.
- Cade Stinnett, Greenwood – A tough two way player, Cade put up 7 points per game as a freshman.
16u Roster:
- KJ Crump, University Heights – One of the best pure point guards in the state, regardless of class.
- DaShawn Jackson, Frederick Douglass – A talented scorer, Jackson is going to be counted on a lot this summer.
- Anthony Woodard, Logan County – One of the better slashers in the 21 class, “Rooster” is a good athlete.
- Isaiah Mason, Bowling Green – Mason continues to improve and put himself in the mix for best player in the 21 class.
- Jacobi Huddleston, Bowling Green – Jacobi is a long athlete who offers some rim protection.
- Cade Looney, Grundy (WV) – Looney is a stretch 5 who likes to pick and pop.
- Demari Martin, Winton Woods (OH) – The #43 ranked Sophomore in Ohio according to Prep Hoops Ohio.
- Landon Morris, Hamilton Southeastern (IN) – The #16 ranked 2021 in Indiana according to Prep Hoops Indiana.
17u Roster:
- Tyren Moore, Male – Tyren is a big time scorer who can get hot as quick as anyone in the state.
- Marques Warrick, Henry Clay – One of the best slashers in 2020, Ques had a good weekend at the first Adidas stop.
- Noah Courtney, Male – A tough two way player, Noah can rebound the ball with the best of them and is improving on offense.
- Kenny White, Madisonville-North Hopkins – The star of the Sweet 16, White has versatility at 6’7.
- Prosper Obidiebube (2019), Aspire Academy – An unsigned Senior, Prosper is long and athletic.
- Jackson Ames, West Clermont (OH) – The #24 ranked player in the Prep Hoops Ohio rankings
- Paul McMillan, Hughes (OH) (2022) – The 4th ranked freshman according to PH Ohio, McMillan put on a show at the first Adidas stop last weekend.
- Mark Wise, Deer Park (OH) – The #14 ranked player in Ohio according to Prep Hoops Ohio.
- Max Land, Moeller (OH) – The #21 ranked player in Ohio according to Prep Hoops Ohio.
