AAU Preview: Kentucky Vision
Kentucky Vision Elite has quietly been moving up the ranks of Kentucky AAU over the past several summers. This season they join the first year Under Armour Rise Circuit with hopes of competing for the league championship and scholarships. Here’s a look at the roster and schedules for Kentucky Vision.
16u Roster:
- Jeremiah Belton, LaRue County – One of the better floor generals in the class, Belton is a good athlete and a 2 sport star.
- Dante Hayden, Danville – One of the best Sophomores in the 12th region, Hayden was the leading scorer for Danville this year.
- Jaz Johnson, Wolfe County – A really good shooter and scorer, Jaz is likely to be the leading scorer several games for this group.
- Cory Vanhoose, Johnson Central – One of the hardest playing kids in the state, Cory fills the stat sheet.
- Zion Thomas, East Jessamine – A solid two way player, Zion could be the best defender on the team.
- Trace Flanary, Bowling Green – Another player who plays with high energy, Trace should help the team with rebounding.
- Josh McGuire, Knott County Central – A 6’6 post with some stretch to his game, McGuire is going to play inside and out.
- Q’Daryius Jennings, Grayson County – Another 2 sport star, Jennings is electric with the ball in his hands.
- Jaxton Dunagan, Caverna – A very big body at 6’10, Dunagan will be expected to rebound for the Vision.
- Papus Mbiya, Mountain Mission (VA) – A true mystery man, Mbiya is listed as a 6’4 2020 prospect on his Hudl account.
- KJ Combs, Pulaski County – After averaging 9 points and 5 rebounds as Junior, Combs is looking for a big AAU season.
17u Roster:
- Nik Sorrell, Glasgow – One of the better point guards in the Junior class, Sorrell can get buckets with the best of them.
- Trey Minter, Butler – When he’s hot, there may not be a better shooter in Louisville. Minter can play on or off the ball.
- Colton Fraley, Pulaski County – A 40% shooter from 3, Fraley’s shot making will be a big asset for the Vision.
- Kevin Rorie, Kenwood (TN) – Rorie is not ranked by our friends at Prep Hoops Tennessee.
- Carrington Valentine, Moeller (OH) – Valentine is not ranked by Prep Hoops Ohio.
- Matthew Fraulini, Portsmouth (OH) – Fraulini is not ranked by Prep Hoops Ohio.
- Deljuan Johnson, Madisonville-North Hopkins – Johnson averaged 2 points per game for the Maroons this year.
- Grant Oakes, Pulaski County – After a 14 point and 9 rebound per game season for Pulaski, Oakes will be expected to help in the post.
- Cameron Underwood, Butler – 8 points and 6 rebounds per game for the Bears doesn’t show the full impact he has on the game.
- Colin Doss, St. Mary – Doss has a wide range of D3 and NAIA interest heading into the season.
- Parker Rice, Butler County – Great size at 6’7, Rice could surprise some coaches this AAU season and earn an offer or two.
- McKay Howell, Kentucky Country Day – A big body at 6’9, Howell is one of the more off the radar kids in Louisville.
