All-Around Players will be running teams in the 16U, 15U, and 14U divisions. Here’s a transcript of a conversation we had with program director DéVon Richardson.
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
We started AAP in the 2016, pretty much the program My co director and I was with just stoped, and the guy who was running it Gary B encouraged me to keep my team together because the parents believed in me. And now 3 years later we have 6 teams( 3 elite teams and 3 developmental teams).
What is the goal of your program for 2019?
To continue to become the premier program in the mid valley. And obviously gaining interest from college coaching staffs for our 15s and 16s.
What is your program’s mission every year?
To put a product out on the floor that will compete each play and game. Playing the games the right way. By doing that wins come and kids get looks.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year? Who should we have our eye on?
Yes, Nate Meithof a 6’4 sophomore from mc nary high school ave 17 n 6 for them. Getting D1 interest.
Tyler Voltin 6’5 260 ish big( 3 sport kid) projected tackle. Small town kid from Regis high 2a but kid plays the right way. Had some big games for his team and was a all league guy. Currently dropping bombs in baseball. C/o 21
Jacob Axmaker 6’ft pg c/o 22 from Stayton. Flat out shooter and stretches floor to volleyball lines very easily. Getting crafty with his offense and became a much better defender with Joe Kiser and the Eagles. Looking for another big spring and summer. Put a shooting clinic on last year in fab 48 14 and 15u games.
A few others are ready to break out and compete against the best. We are excited for our 3 elite teams 14u-16u
