Logan Duncomb | 6-8 C | Moeller
Duncomb — a back-to-the-basket big with a natural scoring touch and room to grow still — improved physically this season. He pinned opponents in the deep-post for easy scoring opportunities and defending with strength. Blocks shots with length. Very good over the shoulder going right. Still growing in terms of skill and size.
Anthony McComb | 6-1 SG | Thurgood Marshall
McComb is a slashing wing with blow by speed. Skilled finisher in traffic who can do it with both explosiveness and craft. We really like McComb’s upside as a defender given his tremendous length and quickness. Becoming a more confident and able outside shooter will be important.
Will McCracken | 6-3 SF | Moeller
McCracken provided energy and played intelligently off the bench for the Division I state champions this season, a program where sophomores often don’t play. Very hard-nosed player who tracks down loose balls and scores through contact inside. Good rebounder, especially on the offensive end. McCracken shoots the mid-range jumper well and uses his athleticism on defense.
Aidan Noyes | 6-5 SF | Moeller
Noyes played junior varsity this season but that doesn’t hurt his evaluation at all. The wing has a slight build and is likely just a few more pounds away from being an impact varsity player. Not to mention, he’d likely start on the wing for over 90 percent of the high schools in Ohio.
He’s an athletic slasher who finishes with explosiveness and can create separation in the second-level, too. Uses his jab series when he isn’t putting it on the floor. Quick first step. More than capable outside shooter. Noyes can also rebound because of his bounce.
Brayden Sipple | 6-3 SF | Blanchester
Sipple is a natural scorer from all three levels. Doesn’t really have an offensive speciality, rather he’s equally capable of shooting from distance, pulling up, or finishing at the rim. We hope to see the multi-sport athlete play against elite competition during the AAU season, at least for a couple weekends.
Jakada Stone | 6-0 PG | Aiken
Stone cleaned up his shot selection as a sophomore, which was our only concern coming into the season. He’s a very reliable decision-maker with shot-making ability. Good floater and a knock-down catch-and-shooter. Stone isn’t a dynamic slasher yet but does know how to manage a game and control pace.
Alex Williams | 6-4 PF | Moeller
Williams possesses enough skill and strength to change games from the post or wing. Said combination is very hard to match at the high school level. Handles the ball gracefully and shows brilliant foot-work. Tough kid and a thick build. Williams can shoot it with space and be an enforcer down low.
AJ Braun | 6-8 C | Fenwick
Braun was one of the most productive sophomore centers in Ohio this year. A big-bodied 6-foot-8 post, Braun moves his feet well and uses his size in the paint. Finishes well over the shoulder. Flashes the ability to step outside and shoot it from distance. Provides a defensive presence around the rim.
Isaiah Walker | 6-4 SF | Wyoming
Walker is a strongly-built slashing wing who finishes in traffic with skill. Gets to the rim by changing direction or leaking out in transition. Knocks down open shots and doesn’t force the issue when he catches on the wing. Athletic defender.
Nate Johnson | 6-2 PG | Lakota East
Johnson is an athletic, slashing guard who plays to his strengths and has defensive upside. Causes turnovers and should be able to defend both guard spots. Hesitant to shoot it from outside but his finishing ability, vision, and quickness make him very effective with the ball.
Demari Martin | 6-4 SF | Winton Woods
Martin is a long, athletic wing who can get to the cup. Provides help on the glass and uses his athleticism on defense. Martin’s jumper is becoming more fluid and effective. Good straight-line-driver who can blow-by.
Kaden Warner | 5-11 PG | Gamble
A dynamic scoring combo guard who has increasingly shown the presence of mind to use his slashing ability to set-up others. Warner can score it from deep and finishes tough layups in traffic. Very quick with the ball. Plays like he has something to prove at all times. Quick hands on defense.
Allen Lattimore | 6-1 G | Stivers
Lattimore’s outside shooting ability is his biggest asset, but he’s also a quick player who scores it occasionally off a pump fake. Slight of build but very fast. Shoots a high-arching shot from deep and gets rid of it quickly.
Will Hill | 6-4 SF | Meadowdale
Hill is an electric player in transition, where his athleticism really shines. Can get to the basket with a quick first step. Good size on the wing. Explosive leaper. Rebounds well.
Chanze Amerson | 6-1 PG | Thurgood Marshall
Amerson is a creative playmaker in the lane who makes good passes around the basket. Quick with the ball and can change directions. Likes to push pace. Scores with touch from the second level.
Skyler Schmidt | 6-4 C | Clermont Northeastern
A double-double machine this year for Clermont Northeastern, Schmidt averaged a ridiculous 22.9 points and 16.1 rebounds. Very good scoring touch around the basket. Strong frame. Runs the floor very well and flashes the ability to step outside and shoot it.
Greg Johnson | 5-10 PG | Princeton
Johnson is a lightning quick point guard who can slash to the basket and really slide his feet on defense. Long arms. Handles the ball well.
Dan Nauseef | 6-5 C | Chaminade Julienne
Nauseef had his coming out party as a sophomore, providing a rebounding presence inside and flashing post scoring ability. Long, muscular build and solid footwork. Plays with toughness.
Isaiah Moore | 6-3 G | Beavercreek
Moore is a smooth ball-handler who can get to the rim and shoots the ball well with space. Good passer. Still yet to fill out physically and appears that he could potentially grow a bit more. Wide defensive stance and good lateral quickness.
Brenden Hill | 6-2 SF | Wayne
Hill may not have played much as a sophomore but we like his combination of a good motor and athleticism. Defends the wing with effort and length. Finishes well in traffic and can get out to run in transition.
